    “Breakfast was great, with various Italian tasty pastries as well as scrambled eggs, vegetables, dairy products, and great coffee. We greatly appreciated the complimentary daily water (still and sparkling) and limoncello, which were made available to all guests staying at the hotel in the common breakfast area. The location is highly advantageous, offering easy access to every major tourist attraction in Ortigia within walking distance. Numerous great restaurant options are also available in the vicinity. Being in such a central location makes the area very lively, especially on the weekends when the bar across the street plays live music outside. Nonetheless, the rooms are well soundproofed, and we didn’t find this in the least bothersome; however, I can understand that it may be judged so by light sleepers or people seeking tranquility. Reaching the place was very easy. The hosts contacted us in advance with helpful instructions about the parking options, which included a public paid parking lot located less than 10 minutes away from the hotel. One note for people with mobility issues: Although the building has an elevator, it can only be accessed after climbing a flight of stairs. The rooms are located on the last floor, and there are a few additional steps to reach them after exiting the elevator. We enjoyed our stay here and found the particularities of lodging in an old building in the heart of the city charming. With its hardwood parquet floors and lofty ceiling, the place had been very tastefully renovated while still preserving its old appeal, making it a cozy base to explore an ancient, monumental city.”
