    “The hotel was well placed for exploring Sarlat and the benefit of a pool during August was a real benefit. The lovely owner/manager was so accommodating and made us feel very welcome. The hotel clearly has some history and we learnt about its prominence during the film festival often hosting famous actors, (photos can be seen in the foyer). Breakfast was a traditional continental buffet with delicious fresh breads and croissants etc. We slept very well and the benefit of air conditioning in the room was very welcome.”

    “The staff was very helpful and they put together a small cheese platter for us because we arrived too late and the kitchen was closed. They first called several restaurants around the area trying to find one that had the kitchen still open. The room was very nice and clean. Overall a very pleasant stay.”

    “It was pretty amazing being in a refurbished castle. The staff were excellent, everyone we met was so kind and the rooms were impeccably cleaned every day. The pool was an absolute bonus, especially on the hot days we had! Right in the heart of Sarlat too so easy to walk everywhere.”
