“This is how it is supposed to be done! Lisabeth is an amazing host and the work they have put in to this property is impeccable craftsmanship and no corners have been cut here. Highest quality. The location overlooks fields and an amazing sunset. The outside area is just as good as the property, our kids loved the play area too. Great parking next to the property. The property inside is spotless, super clean and the very modern in style. All the fixtures and fittings are of high standard. The shower is the best shower ever with lashings of hot water from the large rose head noodle shower. You simply could stay in there for ever. All the kitchen facilities are great, clean and have all that is needed. The beds were good, even the sofa bed was a good quality mattress which made it very comfortable for 2 adults. We stayed on the sofa bed while the kids had the beds upstairs. I was worried about sleeping on a sofa bed but was great and got a good night sleep and woke up feeling great. Good quality sofa bed in my opinion. We stay in a lot of properties and I would put this property in my top 5 and would consider staying again next year for longer. Also, 21 mins from Bruges. which is ideal and 5 mins from the nearest Aldi store.”

  • Guesthouse De Roode Review score: 10

“Fantastic in all respects. Spacious, modern, hugely comfortable. Honesty fridge so chilled drinks on arrival. Our daughter had plenty of space & full privacy upstairs (2 single beds, full length-mirrored door wardrobe). We had a very comfortable double bed. Room got sunny and hot, but curtains kept it cool. Very spacious sitting room with table and TV (which we never used). Excellent kitchen facilities and a gorgeous, big balcony with cushions for the many comfortable seats. It really was a fantastic place to stay. Superb shower in the spacious bathroom too. Easy access and a short walk from the centre - in a completely quiet area. It couldn’t have been better…! Even the air-freshener in the single toilet was nice. The host, though we never met, was extremely helpful and quick to communicate on our arrival day too. We loved the gold-themed decor, wall-hangings, bamboo poles & lighting too and the guide books for Brussels and other Belgian towns in the living room were extremely helpful too. This is a fantastic place to stay.”

“John was a font of local (and not so local) historical information. Excellent and complete breakfast. And good advice for restaurants and activities.”

  • B&B Het Havenhuis Review score: 10

“Super hosts and amazing breakfast 😋. We were a family of four- grandparents plus my son and myself. The b&b has been beautifully renovated and we really enjoyed eating in the lovely dining room and exploring the beautiful garden. My son particularly enjoyed the loft bed in our room, a fun design feature. It was easy to get in to the centre with the park and ride bus opposite going in every ten minutes. Lots of free parking nearby as well”
