However, I believe this 1-star review is unjustified and appears to be a form of retaliation, despite all the clear and transparent information provided before your arrival. For future guests and clarity, here are the facts: ⸻ 1. Type of Reservation The guest booked a private room with a shared bathroom in a 90 sqm apartment. This was clearly stated: • In the title of the listing • In the first image (which includes key information) • In the room facilities section • And in at least 3 messages sent during the 60 days between booking and check-in ⸻ 2. Bathroom and Balcony Access • The bathroom is shared with only one other room, as clearly stated in the description. • The balcony is not private – this is evident in the photos. Both rooms have access to the same balcony. At no point did we claim otherwise. ⸻ 3. Amenities and Setup • The bathroom has a bathtub, just as shown in the photos. • There is no separate bidet, but a bidet shower is provided next to the toilet. • The rooms are spacious, bright, with solid oak parquet flooring, and doors fitted with opaque film for privacy, as shown in the photos. • The electrical installation is safe and regularly checked. ⸻ 4. Cleanliness and Laundry • All linens and towels are properly cleaned using professional products. • Occasionally, clean laundry is air-dried in a sectioned-off area of the living room, which is not accessible to guests and does not interfere with anyone’s stay. ⸻ 5. Communication and Responsibility • The guest did not read the listing details and ignored all three informative messages sent before arrival. • Although they had 60 days to cancel with a full refund, they didn’t. • Upon arrival, they realized the bathroom wasn’t in-room – and chose to stay anyway, rather than finding other accommodation. ⸻ 6. Booking.com Support Confirmation Both the guest and I contacted Booking.com. Support confirmed that all details were correctly communicated, and therefore a full refund was not granted. ⸻ Final Note: This is the most affordable private accommodation in the city center. For guests who want a higher level of comfort, we also offer 2 premium studios rated 9.9/10 on Booking.com, at a higher price point. This review does not reflect the reality of the space. It’s crucial that guests carefully read the listing, communicate with the host, and avoid booking in a rush with expectations of 4-star hotel comfort at hostel prices. Ti ringrazio per il feedback. Vorrei solo chiarire che i cuscini sono nuovi, acquistati da IKEA, quindi non avrebbero potuto avere un odore sgradevole. Se ci fosse stato un problema, avrei apprezzato che me lo comunicassi direttamente — l’avrei risolto immediatamente. Molto probabilmente, l’odore proveniva dalla federa del cuscino, forse a causa del detersivo utilizzato o dell’uso eccessivo di detersivo, che a volte può lasciare un odore di umido. Sarebbe bastato cambiare la federa e il problema si sarebbe risolto in un minuto. Facciamo del nostro meglio per offrire ai nostri ospiti un’esperienza piacevole, e questo è possibile soprattutto grazie a una comunicazione aperta e diretta tra host e ospiti.

Hi, thank you for your review. The apartment and building are old but the room furniture, kitchen heating system all is new. The apartment was recently repainted, only 4 months ago. I regret you didn’t feel comfortable. But as you said I confirm there is probably no better value for money in Bucharest and likely in Europe in general. Regarding cleaning, depends on the other guests and as well during December we had a new cleaning lady so it might be some cleaning issues I didn’t know about and I would have appreciated to be informed during your stay in order to take measurements. I have 2 other apartments, I rent for almost years and on Airbnb I am a super-host based on 500 reviews and here on booking.com based on more than 300 reviews I have 8.7. FOR ME THE CLEANING AMD COMFORT OF THE GUEST IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING. I do all possible effort to offer a great experience not only on my place but in Bucharest overall.

I absolutely don’t understand this review at all. You paid exactly 26 euros per night to stay in the very heart of the city with an amazing view. The apartment is just a 3-minute walk from the entrance to the historic center, the pedestrian area (Latin Passage). Everything in the apartment was impeccably clean. The apartment was freshly painted in its entirety in July. We provided bed linens, pillows, towels—everything was brand new, purchased just a few weeks ago. In the room, you had a radiator with adjustable heating to your preference. You had access to a bathroom and a toilet, plus a massive 30 sqm living room and a fully equipped kitchen with everything you needed. We provided coffee, sugar, a kettle, and a stove for cooking. The hot water temperature was set to 60 degrees so you could adjust it to your liking. I genuinely don’t understand what bothered you during your stay. Was it the fact that you shared the 100 sqm apartment with two other people? I can understand if you made a mistake when booking, but it’s not my fault that you wanted to pay the lowest price yet had hotel-like expectations. To stay alone, the prices are at least double. You only paid 26 euros per night in the very center of a European capital with all the above amenities. I highly recommend and kindly ask all guests to carefully read the amenities of the property they wish to book and, first and foremost, consider what they are paying in the context of the location. In London or Rome, for 26 euros per night, you wouldn’t even get a bed in a shared hostel dorm. Yet, in Bucharest, for 26 euros, you received a private room in a 100 sqm apartment.
