I really liked the food served. All the employees are really nice and try to help. The room was large. The cleanliness in the room was good.

Room was clean and good and everything was fine except for two things. 1. When you are in the shower, the water comes out from under the shower door (there is no rubber band or anything to stop the water.) 2. And sometimes there was a strange smell from the air conditioner, I think. I think the air conditioner hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The smell was really unpleasant.

JW Marriott The Grand Hotel Bucharest is a majestic property with spacious rooms, excellent decor and amazing facilities. The housekeeping staff was polite, friendly and helpful. We had access to the Club Lounge, where the staff was courteous, especially Saroj, who catered to our dietary requirements as we do not eat beef and pork. Spa, gym and pool facilities were good, while Wifi speed was great throughout the hotel.

The breakfast, although a lavish spread with live egg and pancake counters, was, for the most part, the same during our 5-day stay. A little change every day would have given a variety to our breakfast table.

Facilities were adequate but dated. Breakfast was just okay, the executive lounge was often overcrowded, the location is not convenient.

The hotel has a great, central location. The dinner at JW Steakhouse was very good. The waiters at breakfast and dinner were very good and the service was great.

The hotel has many things missing to be able to call it a 5-star hotel. It looked more like a 4-star hotel to me, but with 5-star prices. A few things to callout: * The standard internet was very slow, impossible to run meetings or do Zoom calls. If you have to work, you will need to buy the "Premium" internet which costs 50 RON / day, and for a 5-star hotel in Romania to not offer decent complementary internet is insane. * Breakfast is also lacking variety and some dishes like Eggs Benedict are not good, and do not follow the standard recipe. The coffee was also bad, the beans were burned (over-roasted). * This was the first 5-star hotel I stayed in that did not offer any complementary water bottles in the room. All water was chargeable, and a bottle of water cost 10 EUR. * I checked in at 6 AM one morning, and checked out at 9 AM the next morning. I payed for two nights which was normal, but given that I stayed for 27 hours, I wasn't expecting to be charged 30 EUR (2 nights) for parking. * My room definitely needed a refurbishment, the furniture was old, the stand-in shower was leaking, and the toilet itself was in a small-service room, that could barely fit a normal sized adult.
