How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The location is far away from the village and any other house, on the road side. We had no possibility to take dinner at the pension, so we lost almost two hours for transport, finding a restaurant, waiting dinner. The breakfast was decent, but not more.

Verified reviewIt was exceptional! Very good food, very polite staff, clean and big rooms with AC and a gorgeous bathroom. The pool water was changed and the pool itself was cleaned DAYLY!! The ice cream was also delicious, the breakfast had lots of options daily from meats, cheeses to cereals with milk and every day another type of egg. Everything was perfect. We will surely return. We also got a big bonus of free entrance to Aquapark President because the property (Pensiunea Palace) is expanding the buildings and they offered it as a free compensation because of the construction site (even the workers there were very polite and the fact that they were working wasn't even noticable as they were so quiet in doing so). We were amazed by the scenery around the place by beautiful sunrises and gorgeous sunsets every day. They also offered dinner for a reasonable price and it was actually very good also.

Verified reviewA beautiful, peaceful place situated on a hill. The room was large, clean, and had a balcony. The breakfast was very good. We spent an amazing afternoon at the pool. We really liked it and plan to come back next year, especially since they mentioned they will be adding to the current building, which has made us curious.

Large construction site with 20 workers – dusty, noisy, and very loud. Not recommended

At the moment, we are undergoing a modernization project, which is being managed in such a way as to minimize its impact on our guests. The relaxation areas (pool, jacuzzi, saunas, terrace) remain fully functional. Our rooms are spacious, cleaned daily, and include breakfast and facilities that exceed the usual standards of a guesthouse. The feedback we regularly receive from guests confirms these standards, which is why we are surprised by the rating you provided—especially in the absence of any direct communication during your stay. Verified reviewSpacious rooms. Newer facility with good quality materials. The outdoor area is nice and includes a thermal water pool. The staff is friendly, responsive and helpful. Ask the staff for breakfast items if needed. Free tickets to President Aqua Park.
The building is not equipped with an elevator. The access to rooms is with a key on a large key chain. The ventilation in the bathroom is poor. Breakfast items are limited and for additional items you need to request the day before. Ongoing expansion construction.

The building has only two floors, and while we do not advertise having an elevator, we believe the stairs are a manageable effort for most guests. Regarding the room key, we use an elegant and clearly labeled keychain for ease of identification. That said, we already have plans to switch to more modern access solutions in the near future. We appreciate your feedback regarding the bathroom ventilation and breakfast options — improvements are underway as part of our expansion project. The smell in the bathroom, similar to a public toilet The fridge didn't work, it was full of water in it. Beneath the wood from the cabinet was knocked. The shower in the Spa didn't drain properly, the saunas didn't work well either and were quite small. One big functioning sauna in the place of two non-functioning ones would be preferred. The breakfast was not good. Hard sausages, almost orange ketchup and oily most of it.

Verified reviewThis accomodation is one of the best I had in my life. Located not far from Oradea, it has a huge garden with plenty of parking spaces. In the back side of the porperty you can even find a vineyard. The pool is also amazing, being warm (with thermal water)and functional almost 24 hours (except for a few hours in the morning when they change the water). The staff is exceptional, very responsive to any request.
The fridge from the room was useless. The tiles around the pool are slippery

Towels had a terrible smell. Pillows extremely difficult to sleep on. Door locks with old school keys. Front door would not stay closed by itself. Have to lock it by turning the key twice. If you turn it once, the door would still open. I did not receive the room I reserved 2 months ahead. Breakfast was just OK.
