How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewBeautiful houses and excellent restaurant. We had a great time there. So relaxing and peacefull.
The music in the restaurant was not really our taste. We would have liked some Romanian music and not trendy soft club music to be honest. But It did not matter that much

Verified reviewThe location is superb, the facilities are great and the whole experience is unique.
The food really dissapoints. I understand that it’s difficult for them to establish a complex restaurant in the middle of the mountains, but eating duck and prawns in the Apuseni Mountains fells a little off, especially for a menu curated by a chef. It’s a shame that the chef didn’t choose a more creative menu to keep the atmosphere of the spot.

Verified reviewAbsolutely stunning location! I loved everything from the room, to the facilities, to the food and the staff! Everything has absolutely exceeded my expectations. The staff is fantastic, I had better service in the restaurant than in most of the fancy city center places, the food was incredible, and the breakfast was probably the best buffet I’ve had from all the places I’ve visited. The room was cosy while it kept the rustic style, and the views are breathtaking! I loved every minute I spent here and I really didn’t want to leave this place at the end of my stay.
There is absolutely nothing that I could complain about.

Verified reviewLocation, accommodation, restaurant
The only thing I didn’t like is that it’s not adults only, and if you happen to be accommodated in the same cabin, the peace and quiet can turn into something else 😁… However, the staff solved the problem in our case.

Verified reviewRaven’s Nest is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by their warm hospitality and genuine care for every guest. The food was nothing short of amazing — every dish prepared with such attention to detail that you can taste the passion behind it. The location is just perfect: beautifully tucked away and hidden from the crowds, yet offering breathtaking surroundings that make you feel like you’ve discovered a secret paradise. Every little touch here feels thoughtful and intentional. Can’t wait to come back!
The only reason why I gave it a 9 is because we didn’t have a chance to try the spa while we were there, we should have stayed longer🫣 I would add a sign along the way to make it a bit easier to find for those driving. Thank you for everything Raven’s Nest and Sable Cuisine!

Verified reviewAmazing remote place in the middle of the nature with a good balance between traditional and comfort.
The ceiling was so thin you could hear every step and sound from above. If the guest above you are children or they go to sleep very late, you are bound to stay awake and listen to the noise.

Verified reviewReally remarkable property. Far from everything so this is a perfect silent location, we only heard the cows. The staff was professional and nice, very helpful from the beginning until the check-out. Wonderful view for the viewpoints as well as from the wellness area. The room was authentic, clean and in case of double room there was a community space. The restaurant / breakfast / cocktails were really good, the whole concept is 10/10.
Nothing to mention.

Verified reviewThis boutique hotel is located in the mountains, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The cabins have been beautifully reconstructed – not exact historical replicas, but with a creative, almost fairytale-like charm that fits perfectly into the Transylvanian scenery. The restaurant is good, though I found the “fine food” concept a bit too modern and styled – a little more authenticity and simplicity would have made it feel more grounded. Still, that’s a high-level critique. Overall: A wonderful place to unwind, enjoy nature, and experience a unique blend of design, peace, and Transylvanian spirit. Highly recommended for a few relaxing days away from it all.
It would be helpful to have a info sheet with things to do…like nice hikes, caves, waterfalls etc. Just a small detail, but it would really enrich the stay.

Verified reviewThe property is unique. Huge area with viewpoints, chill zones. Fairly limited number of rooms for guests so you can enjoy nature without disturbing others. The breakfast is rich and delicious. Sable is a fine dining restaurant, so be prepared for its prices, but the food and service won't disappoint you. The cherry on top is the unique experience of sitting in a hot tub on the top of the mountain with a splendid view.
Minor thing, and we totally understand it, but the rooms have very limited space to put your luggage/clothes.
