How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewThe room was clean, the staff were polite. The hotel is close to Drakula castle, approximately 30min walking. In walking distance there are a small supermarket and a restaurant with good food on really acceptable prices.
The one of the bottles of soap and the lotion bottle in the bathroom were empty. In the spa area only the hot tub was working, also it wasn't clean enough.

We Would like to clarify that wet and dry saunas in our Spa are activated upon request as you have been explained at check-in.This is why we have 24/7 staff at your disposal.They cannot run 24/7 due to excessive heating, this is why you were told to let us know beforehand so we start them. Jacuzzi,fitness center, salt room,small exterior swimming pool, need no activation and they were at your disposal without prior notice. In what concerns shower gel,conditioners and lotions they are replaced in case they run out during your stay,but if this happens after daily cleaning you just have to let us know and of course they are replaced. We are sorry that you felt there were inconveniences during your stay,we assure you that all our staff is permanently at your disposal for any requests. Hope to have you again in our hotel. We booked 3 rooms. Neither one had a balcony, even though there were available!. The blonde lady from the reception wasn't very nice.. she kept telling us that she can change our room the second or the third day .... her colleague (the night shift) changed it for us immediately! In one room the fridge wasn't working and in another one the mattress was very bad. Also, the rooms with balcony don't have ac .... The main building was in renovation so we didn't get to enjoy the swimming pool.

I didn't like that from our rooms we had a view of the parking and a store and that they didn't have a closed yard. The children could go to the parking or in the area with the cars. I had to request myself towels and toilet paper as they didn't clean the room daily.

You reserved a room situated at the ground floor of the hotel. We have several types of rooms in the hotel but you chose this type. The hotel has a lot of green space around it with a playground surrounded with a fence for protection. Of course it has a very large parking space in front of the hotel which is not a playground and children should not play there for safety reasons. We consider that the green space is enough for a hotel with 21 rooms, a 10000square meters of green space. As for the daily cleaning we have checked the log of the maids for the days of your stay and the maid has entered and cleaned your room for the entire stay. We have automatic doors and each maid has a card, when we read the log we saw the time of entry and the time of exit from your room which was according to our procedures. With regards to toilet paper, the hotel has an automatic toilet paper disposal with 2 paper toilets in it, it cannot be changed until the 2 toilet papers are consumed. If it happen during your stay to not be enough of course it was immediately changed. We our so sorry that our hotel was not entirely to your liking and we assure you that we take all the necessary actions to provide our guests with excellent services 24/7. Kind regards, New Wolf team

Verified reviewVery clean, comfortable, modern. Breakfasts are very tasty. Nearby there is a shop, a restaurant. A good place to relax, the pool is not big, but there were not many people either.

Verified reviewThe bed was very big and comfortable. The Spa was very relaxing and was not crowded at all. The room was very spacious and we had our own balcony. The breakfast had a variety of foods including fresh fruit and raw honey which was amazing!! There is a supermarket right next to the hotel, and restaurant so there are a few things around the hotel.
We did find the room to be quite hot and we were unable to regulate the temperature. We did have a balcony and left the window open, however there was a wedding like celebration literally outside our room with speakers and fairly loud music. This didn’t last long and it wasn’t the hotel’s fault. It is also quite a random thing as it won’t happen everyday. The hotel is about a 30 min walk to Bran centre but only a 5 min drive if you have a car.

Verified reviewVery nice and quiet place, during the night outside you can hear just some dogs. The building looks new at all. The room looks very nice, new furniture, large, pleasant temperature, very clean. The SPA zone in the building looks good, clean, but not so large to support so many guests. The breakfast is delicious, not so many options, but enough for anybody. The coffee was fine for me.
The SPA including indoor pool located into the other building (Woolf 1) looks not so good, the water inside the pool was very cold, no hot water on the shower, very toilet smell inside the pool room. All the sauna rooms were not functional in the building.

Verified reviewA very nice hotel, the room was clean and new, we enjoyed the breakfast! The hotel provided a nice meal outside in the yard for the Romanian National Day (very thoughtful, they do that every year they said) and it was very tasty. The staff very nice and willing to help. We felt comfortable and cozy being there.
The big pool could have been better maintained. The water was very cold, unfortunately, and we couldn't stay longer then about an hour. The spa facilities are nice, but still, the pool might be better.
