Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

TurkeyThe room is too small, the location is perfect, but the isolation is so poor that you are exposed to all noise from outside. The walls have some dirty spots. The bathroom is great and clean.

RomaniaThe carpet in the hallway and on the stairs is stained and torn, which gives it a neglected look. We had no TV signal and had to ask at the reception for soap, shower gel, etc. for the bathroom. Breakfast is not buffet-style and the options are limited.
It is well located, close to restaurants and just a few dozen minutes from the historic center. The staff was friendly and communication was good.

BulgariaRooms could be noisy if looking to the street. Nearby parking was overloaded and I had no clear instructions were exactly to park and how to get from the parking to the hotel.
Convenient location on Skadarska street, which also has its drawbacks. Breakfast was good (you choose from several options). Staff was kind and helpful.

BulgariaThe room did not have enough natural light, and it has a very small window.
The location was great, and there was available private parking just at the back entrance of the hotel.

GermanyUnfortunately in the cafe there is not really a choice of vegetarian dishes and no kids menu
The family room is spacious and comfortable. My kids played for hours in the play area of the cafe. The personal is really friendly and helpful in every way. We always choose this hotel when staying in Belgrade. The entrance is in a pedestrian area and only a few minutes early from the main pedestrian area, so you can walk everywhere easily.

TurkeySince the building is old, although very nicely renovated and decorated, there are no balconies and the windows are small. And there's live music in the street until late in the evening so it was a little bit noisy.
The hotel is located directly on the Skadarlija street, which is one the best neighborhoods in Belgrade with lots of attractions, restaurants, bars, etc. and very close to the city center. We have entered through the back entrance and there's a parking place here where you can park your vehicle, however the parking is a little bit expensive (we paid 21 Euros just for one night). The staff was warm and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

ItalyWe booked a King Room with Spa Bath, apparently one of the best that the hotel could offer, and despite this: - it was located on the 4th floor, and the elevator only stopped at 3rd - the 4th floor was supposed to be the newest/coolest, but it was attic floor, so there was no view - the windows were on the roof - and when we entered it was *very* hot. I can stand heat and I hate air conditioning, but in there it was impossible to open the windows and resist the heat, so air conditioning needed to stay on also at night - the bathroom could have been cleaner and the toilet seat was cheap and wobbly - the hot and cold controls of the jacuzzi were inverted - not very intuitive - the most disappointing thing: we walked our friend to her double room on the 2nd floor with no jacuzzi, and it was so much bigger than ours - bedroom, shower, bathroom... so definitely our room was not worth the extra money
It is worth mentioning what made our stay so pleasant: - the perfect location, walking distance from most of the points of attraction. The pedestrian street where the hotel is located is lovely, popular and yet quiet. It is full of restaurants and cocktail bars, and it felt safe - the kindness of the staff, who was welcoming and ready to give advice. They were so kind to book a taxi for us and make sure we would not get scammed - the jacuzzi was evidently new and enjoyable, there was enough body wash samples to enjoy a lot of nice foam - the natural light in the room - the style and taste of the decor

TurkeyEverything was good except the high music , throughout our stay, we didn’t encounter any issues or unpleasant situations. Little bit difficult to carry luggage to the hotel due the very old cobblestone way to the hotel. Never use taxi from the Belgrade airport or inside of the city !!
Very sufficient breakfast , clean room and WC , good location for those who likes night life and music , ten min by walk from the city center on the restaurants/bars street but noisy , our expectations were mostly met,

CanadaNot sure why anyone designs rooms with glass walls in the bathroom, but there is no privacy in the bathroom! Also many many stairs, luggage might be difficult to bring upstairs. Cobblestone streets also so a little difficult with the luggage.
Excellent location, located in an old brewery. Historical building.
