How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThis hostel is just fabulous; most travelers end up extending their stay! It's high-quality, very clean, and completely safe; one can see how basically everything is designed for your comfort. It will be perfect for you if you're a digital nomad, as it has a coworking area with desks and chairs. Big lockers. If you're tired of eating on the road, this is also fantastic as it features a very well-equipped kitchen (including boxes to store your food safely). You'll find specialty coffee shops nearby (Kafeterija is 1 min away, and Sonder is maybe a 15 min walk). A cheap Aldi supermarket (maybe 400m away), and a smaller Maxi convenience store (250m). For those playing basketball, there's a decent court just opposite the building (you can borrow a ball from the hostel). There's also a calisthenics outdoors gym about 200m away. Bus travel is free in Belgrade, and it's only 3 stops to the center. Also, there's a direct trolleybus from Belgrade Central new train station (#40). Most certainly recommended!!

Verified revieweverything from the outside seemed nice. beds were comfy and it was spacious. kitchen had neat boxes for your dried goods. nice tea and coffee included. good area outside as well. bus stop wasn't too far away
the rules. there were so many. i felt like i would be walking on eggshells waiting for someone to yell at me and tell me what im doing wrong. the kitchen opens only from 8am-10pm, so you can't get water/tea/coffee outside of those hours, or any of your food, which must be stored inside the kitchen. also they play music loud from 8:30am-11:00pm, which wakes people on the ground level up but get mad if you make a single noise past 11pm. there is a basketball court in front of the hostel and at all hours, you can hear the noise of the ball. it echoes into the bedroom windows, especially since they're left open throughout the day and night. the bathrooms are small so it makes it hard to have any stuff in there. i see what they're trying with the rules, but it takes away from the hostel experience. it's also hard to connect with other guests and there are no real community events to bring people together. i'm bummed because the staff was nice, but kept to each other

Verified reviewCleanliness ,location, kitchen ,complementary coffee .
It’s my suggestion to the owner that be formal or polite with your guest even the guest break the hostel rule unknowingly or knowingly.I was in a common area and one guy was laying on sofa and the owner came and literally was so rude with the guest that y r u sleeping here ,it’s not allowed .The way he used to this guest ,we can’t use if we work in tourism and hospitality industry even the guest is wrong but you should approach to him politely or formally because still he is your guest and he has self-respect as you were insulting him in front of others .

Verified reviewFully equipped amenities including kitchen and laundry, clean, co-working space available, worth the price with all those facilities
- The hosts never said hi to me, nor even smile, let alone throw a small talk. Oh wait, I think they only did that to people who look like them or speak their language. I’d have to initiate the conversation and they’d often not respond to it accordingly. To me, they were just like passive-aggressive walking CCTVs who would scold me for my ‘wrongdoings’, without even making sure if I was aware of the rules, or at least empathizing with how tired I was after a full-day stroll. Whatever the reasons were, they should learn to be friendlier to ANYONE because people come from around the world and they work in a freaking HOSPITALITY industry. - Also they would let their dirty dishes laying on the sink for 30 mins or so and would only clean them after they finish eating, which discomforted the guests as they would always cook large loads of food (for the 3/4 of them, they eat together or something). - I would really love to leave a 5 or 6 out of 10 for this hostel but instead I gave it a 8/10 out of the goodness of my heart. I extended my stay for a couple more days only because the other hostels were worse. The hostel has fully equipped facilities and all that but still the best part of it is LEAVING.

Verified reviewI stayed in a 6-bed female dorm, but honestly, I barely saw or heard my roommates — it was always quiet, clean, and peaceful. Each bed had its own power socket, reading light, curtain for privacy, and a locker with a key. Access to the floor was with a keycard, which felt very secure. There were several clean bathrooms and toilets on the same floor, and the Wi-Fi was fast and stable. Upstairs, there’s a nice coworking area — I worked from there daily and really liked the atmosphere. On the ground floor, there’s a kitchen and dining area. I usually ate outside where there are tables and chairs with a lovely view of the courtyard — very cozy and convenient. The kitchen is fully equipped — stoves, pots, pans, dishes, and even containers for food storage. Every room has its own labeled food bin, plus several fridges and a proper ventilation system. Free tea, coffee, cookies, and drinking water were a lovely bonus. There are even food containers available if you need them. There’s also a cinema room (I didn’t go, but it’s a nice option), and just outside there’s a basketball court if you feel like shooting hoops. And most importantly — the people. I met some amazing, interesting guests during my stay. Highly recommended

Verified reviewThe facilities were very good with a well equipped kitchen and multiple common spaces. The beds were comfortable.
The staff is not quite friendly. And will enforce unnecessary house rules harshly. You are required to wear slippers inside, provided by the Hostel. These slippers are shared between all the guests without cleaning...very gross.

I had a problem with a guest who was making noise up until 3am and the owner responded with a dismissive and inappropriate tone, even suggesting I was creating a scandal. Female travelers: if you value peace and respect, this may not be the right place.
Thank you for your feedback, Bojana. We’re sorry that your night was disrupted by another guest, and we understand how frustrating that can be. That said, we’d like to clarify a few points for future guests. Even though it was well outside our reception hours, we responded to your message around 1 AM and did our best to help. We first offered to move you to another dorm, and when that didn’t feel sufficient, our manager offered to come in within 20 minutes to relocate you to a dorm on another floor. We’re not sure how this could be considered dismissive - we were actively trying to resolve the situation, but you considered refund as the only option. By 1:52 AM, you confirmed that the noise had stopped. While we do everything we can to maintain a peaceful atmosphere, a certain level of disturbance is sometimes part of the shared dorm experience. We believe staying in a hostel involves a degree of flexibility and shared responsibility among guests. As for your comment regarding female travelers: we take pride in the fact that many solo female guests choose our hostel, and our female dorms consistently fill up first. No other guests in your dorm raised complaints that night (even after we asked them specifically), and we don’t believe this situation reflects any broader issue of how we welcome or support female travelers. We appreciate you sharing your thoughts and wish you all the best in your future travels.
