Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe Envoy Hotel is an absolute gem in the heart of Belgrade. Its location couldn’t be better as you are within walking distance of almost everything worth seeing, from the lively pedestrian streets and cafes to the city’s main cultural landmarks. The hotel itself has every basic need covered, and then goes beyond with a gym, saunas, and other. The rooms are modern, comfortable, and well-equipped, with thoughtful touches that make your stay even smoother. Whether you’re here for business or leisure, you’ll feel well taken care of. What truly sets the Envoy Hotel apart is the staff. From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with genuine warmth. The staff goes out of their way to assist, answer questions, and make sure you get the most out of your time in Belgrade. Senka, in particular, provides 24/7 friendly assistance to help you explore the city and get the best out of your time here. Their hospitality leaves a lasting impression and elevates the whole experience. If you want a place that combines an unbeatable location, great facilities, and outstanding service, the Envoy Hotel should be at the top of your list.

United StatesA smalI quibble: I had requested early check-in in advance, and was informed that my request would be accommodated, subject to availability. When I arrived, I was told there’d be an extra charge for early check-in, which wasn’t mentioned in advance. Ultimately the fee was waived, though.
The location was great - near lots of restaurants and attractions. The room was one of the most thoughtfully designed that I have experienced; layered lighting exactly where it belonged, super-comfy bed, well-appointed bathroom, nice amenities. Excellent breakfast in a lovely, sunlit space. Proximity to the Obličev Venac garage made transferring luggage to the car super easy, even though the hotel itself is in a pedestrian-only area. Staff were kind and helpful. A bit expensive, but high-touch for the price range. I’d stay again.

HungaryI think that for breakfast, it will be nice if the pancakes and pastries could be held on a warm plate like the eggs, because they will then remain fresh and be more tasty. For this kind of standard of hotel, I'm used to getting a fresh bottle of water every day when the room is being cleaned. This wasn't the case here. My room's sleepers had mold. I didn't comment about it to the reception, and I didn't use them either, but these small things of paying attention are what make a big difference.
The Hotel is everything it's described. It has a great location behind the main street, so you are in the center and enjoy the quiet. I love the atmosphere in the hotel- very calm. The staff is exceptionally nice and very helpful. The breakfast had a lot of options, so even vegans can find what to eat.

United KingdomA very minor point: you really have to slam the bedroom door to shut it properly. Not great if other guests are trying to sleep.
I had booked a different hotel but they informed me two weeks before my stay that there would be renovation work going on. I cancelled and booked the Envoy instead. Good move; the Envoy was excellent. Good location, modern and clean. Friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. I’d recommend it.

United Arab EmiratesThe hotel is in a great location, close to all the main tourist spots. There is a 24-hour supermarket right in front. Though it’s in the city center, the room was quiet. The bed was very comfortable, and we had no trouble sleeping. Most importantly, the front desk staff helped us a lot when we had a problem. He was very kind, helpful, and caring. We regret that we were in a big hurry and didn’t get the chance to thank him properly. We didn’t speak the local language, so we would have felt so lost without his help. Thanks to him, the rest of our trip was easy and enjoyable.

AustraliaExpected a 4 star property would include tissues and body lotion in the rooms, especially in the junior suite. Dirty marks on the carpet in the room could be spot cleaned. Unclear why there is such a huge difference in room prices between what Booking.com sells and what you could get direct at the hotel. We paid $A499.50 a night for the junior suite on Booking.com, we could have had the same room for $A332 if we’d booked with the hotel. That’s an enormous difference!
Great location in old city, close to everything - supermarket across the street, the walking street one street over, local bus stop one street over in the other direction at Students Square (all buses and trams are free in Belgrade). Good breakfast, very comfortable bed, the included sauna and steam room were a real bonus especially on a rainy afternoon. Reception staff are friendly and helpful with advice.

Perfectly located in the very centre of Old Town Belgrade. Very new, stylish and comfortable rooms. Hotel has his own nostalgic Yugoslavian vintage favour, all thanks to fascinating collection of mid 19 century oil paintings and hundreds of books Great selection of breakfast options, everything was fresh and testy. Short distance to most attractions.
