How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewWell maintained family hotel. Good access to city center. Tasty breakfast. Kettle in room. Own caffe in backyard. We get very early check in and breakfast for first day for reasonable fee and free luggage store after check out, that save our first and last day.
weared out bed linen.

Verified reviewThe location is in quite an upscale part of town, not far from Slavia Square if you are coming from the airport (get the A1 Bus for 400 Dinar) and then a 10minute walk. If coming by bus, the number 7 tram goes all the way from Central Bus Station to 5 minutes from the apartment (and all transport in Belgrade is free!) The apartments themselves are spacious and are a good size. The breakfast is part of the restaurant at the back and is very good (the food sold there on a night is quite expensive for the Balkans but eating out in Belgrade is full stop. That said, it's always busy). The staff are helpful although with it being a BnB they aren't at reception 24/7 but there are numbers to message them if need be. Internet was quick, and the beds were comfy. Overall, pretty impressed.
It's quite far from town but that said, once you know were to get the tram from / to, then it's not really an issue.

Verified reviewLocation is in a calm side street with little traffic and even offers a little seating area outside. Cafe right next door which is convenient. The room itself makes great use of the space and has all that you might need. Note that the different rooms are different in size too. Checkin / checkout was simple and the owner super helpful and friendly.
No complaints really. I recommend sending the owner a short message with your arrival time so they have a heads up as they may not always be at the reception. For the included breakfast you get at the café next door the "concept" was a bit hard to understand at first (i.e. what you are allowed to choose / what not), but in the end we had a good, hearty meal. The location is a good 20 mins walk from the city centre towards Sveti Slava. Great for sight seeing, maybe suboptimal if you have to go to the centre frequently. Good to know: the property only accepts cash (€/RSD). This is a bit "hidden" in the current Booking.com layout imho.

Verified reviewNice, friendly, clean, few-room bed and breakfast with a kind, helpful owner in a quiet street (I stayed in a room facing the street, not the courtyard), but still close to Slavia Square and within walking distance of the city centre. Nearby is a non-stop grocery store and several traditional Serbian restaurants.
For breakfast, it is important to know that it is served in the café in the courtyard, which officially opens at 8am, but in practice at 8:15-20am and it takes another 15-20 minutes to prepare. It is not clear whether the room card can simply be left at the small reception desk on departure (e.g. it could be dropped in a box instead).

Verified reviewThis is a lovely B&B close to several sights and in a Belgrade neighborhood with lots of grocery stores, bars, and restaurants nearby. We absolutely loved the little secluded restaurant right next door (especially loved Blanca, the waitress, there--so convenient, good prices, and great pizza!). The room was spacious and spotless (nicer than the "4-star hotel" in downtown that our previous tour had been staying in). Check-in was easy and the owner always responded promptly.
Just small suggestion--to let people know if they check out very early (for an early morning flight, for ex.), that they need to let the owner so he can tell them what to do with the room card. Otherwise, if you simply leave it in the room, you run the risk of being trapped between the building and the outside gate. Written directions on how to operate the TV (& get the full range of channels) would also be helpful.

Verified reviewThis was a lovely hotel. Perfectly located and providing everything you’d need for a short trip to Belgrade. The room is exceptionally clean, bed comfy and powerful shower. The bar/restaurant which it looks on to is lovely and has English speaking staff which is helpful. Would highly recommend!
It’s not glamorous but you wouldn’t expect that for the price! The room is only quiet after midnight when the bar it overlooks closes. (This was the case for the room I stayed in but others may be quieter).
