How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Wonderful place to stay in Belgrade. Clean, well located and lovely atmosphere in Hidden Gem. Sinan also good host and he is helpful. Rooms are specious , there is also lovely balcony, garden and full equipment kitchen. Highly recommended.

The hostel is in a perfect location. You can walk everywhere. And it was definitely the quietest hostel I've stayed in. It's incredibly clean and the owner is very careful about hygiene. I'm glad I chose this place, if I come to Belgrade again I will come to this hostel again. I would also like to thank Mr. Sinan for all his help and kindness.

It's a real hidden gem in one of the most beautiful streets in Belgrade. Trust me, they clean every day. It's the cleanest hostel I've ever been to. It's very close to the center, like a 5-minute walk to Knez Mihailova. 2 very close, 7/24 open markets. And in the day, you can enjoy very nice coffee bars around. The kitchen has everything. The hostel provides a comfortable stay. The host is always there for you. Thank you for making my stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Wonderful stay, hostel is very cozy and its location is great, you can walk all the important points in a few minutes. Sinan is great host he keeps the hostel super clean all the time. Do not hesitate to book.

Truly Hidden Gem, super clean and wonderful location. The host is very kind, lovely balcony and beautiful kitchen. Rooms are spacious and there is AC. What else you ask for if you walk to castle just in a few minutes!

The hostel is in a perfect location, right in the city center, so you can easily walk everywhere. The room and bathrooms were absolutely spotless. The bed was really comfy. Sinan is a great host—very friendly and helpful. Everything was just perfect.

The hostel and the atmosphere are super friendly and comfortable. Sinan is a very nice host and takes care about his hostel and the guests. The rooms and bathrooms are always very clean. The location is in the city centre but it’s quiet and the hostel has a terrace. You can easily walk everywhere. Thank you for the nice stay!

I really liked the fact that this is NOT a party hostel, instead it is a peaceful and clean hostel. I appreciated the availability of HOT water for showering and the fact that I never had to wait in line to use the bathroom. The host is very friendly and helpful. The hostel is located in an amazing location of the city where you can walk to endless sights, cafes, restaurants, shops and more. Without hesitation, I recommend this accommodation.

Liked everything.
It was lovely. The host was extremely friendly and helpful and made me feel at ease. Location was great if you want to stay close to the fortress and main shopping/nightlife. There were plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Hostel itself was well managed and very clean.

The staff is nice, room is very clean, also suitable to those who prefer quiet sleeping time due to clear house rules. The toilet is also very clean and well maintained which is a plus. Location was good, close to city centre with lots of supermarkets and bars and restaurants.

No sign on front of street to suggest where the hostel is. Took me 10 minutes to find it but if you contact the host as you get there he'll come out to meet you 👍🏼
Location was good pretty much in the center of Belgrade. Friendly, helpful host. Would stay again if ever in Belgrade.

Everything seemed fine, although granted, my stay was short. Maybe the kitchen area could benefit from an additional Wi-fi router.
As an anxious introvert, I don’t often stay in hostels since I need privacy and cleanliness around. However, this hostel is just perfect for someone like me! Rooms and shared facilities are spotless. Rooms have windows and thus enough fresh air. There are enough bathrooms, they are very clean and well-equipped, with paper towels. The hostel is very quiet, and while the host is very strict about the rules, this makes the place perfect for someone who wants to rest and not party. I stayed one night and the hostel was not really full, but the hostel employs a quiet policy at nights anyway. PS Italian parmesan the host kindly shared was delicious!

Amazing hostel for those who like comfort. Cozy calm bedrooms, a kitchen with everything you need, green terrace. Location in a city center, close to the park and pedestrian street. Strongly recommended.

This is a small hostel in the centre of Belgrade, 5min walk to Kalmegdan. Due to the location behind the main building, it's very quiet and the quiet rules are strictly enforced. This is not a party hostel! The manager Sinan is very friendly and helpful. He's normally around the hostel or easily contactable by WhatsApp. The place was kept spotlessly clean. I've rarely been to a hostel with such clean bathrooms. There were 4 bathrooms and I think 4 dorms so no waiting times. I stayed in the female dorm and there was plenty of room for backpacks/cases plus a locker by each bed. I would highly recommend this hostel for a chilled stay in Belgrade. If I return I will definitely stay here.
