The view from the balcony, the quiet surroundings, the spacious appartment and the warm welcome from the hosts made our stay very comfortable. The place is perfect for a couples romantic rural getaway. It is far away from dense settlements and it's very quiet and feels close to nature. If you would like to use the fireplace more, make sure to tell the hosts because the space is also equipped with central heating through radiators and the fireplace can't be used when the radiators are on because it can get too hot on warmer days. -Hosts provided clean bedding, towels and rubber slippers (there is only slipper sizes EU 42-44) which can be large for ladies with smaller feet. - Nice candles on the balcony. - Someone commented that there is no way to shut the bedroom window which wakes you up in the morning. This has been solved since and the big window next to the bed is completely closed by a nice scenic mountain poster.

Something that the hosts can't control is the access to the appartment is semi dirt road which requires a couple of minutes of slow driving to get to a proper asphalt. -If the ground is wet, the clay in front of the appartment is pretty sticky which means your shoes, the entrance and your car floor will get dirty. Extra gravel or some surfacing could be added at the parking spot and around the entrance so there isn't that much mud. -Another thing that we didn't account for is groceries, I would have enjoyed not making an extra trip to Sokobanja in order to get extra groceries to cook meals, but this is on us and serves just a reminder for future guests. - You have to be aware, although I'm sure it's listed, is the fact that there is no classic oven but there is a little stove cooker which operates kind of like an oven but it's much smaller and lined with Teflon. - Another thing is that if you plan on bringing your own cookware like a non-Teflon pan or a special coffee pot, it won't work unless it's wider than 15cm in diameter and suitable for an induction stove. Luckily, we had a small camping gas stove which saved the day for our moka coffee pot. - I would suggest the hosts just two main things: 1. To install window and balcony door insect nets because there were quite a lot of stinkbugs and flies which is to be expected at a rural getaway, but it could have been better. What made it easier was the small plastic bug slapper which was available at the place with which we went on a short killing-spree and cleaned out the place. 2. To buy very small cheap yellow hue lamps for the living room and bedroom which will enable guests to have a more subtle lighting of the space because the lights that are available are very bright white lights and kill the atmosphere of the fireplace and the bedroom at night.

    Property response:

Thanks for your comment. The apartments are equipped with lamps that, when the switch is pressed again, change the level of illumination.

If you wish to escape urban cities, this place at the end of the village is a perfect spot! The atmosphere is authentic; the apartment is in the owner's home. You can see them working in the fields, feeding animals, or even participating if you wish. We didn't have breakfast, but we could see the gardens where everything is organic, so if you wish to try that, this is the place to do it. Speaking of animals, which are an essential part of the Serbian village experience, we had a good time petting donkeys, cats, and a little Dachshund running around or attempting to catch a goose. The apartment has a separate entrance, so you are free to move as you wish without getting disturbed or anyone disturbing you. The place looks like a wooden cottage, and the view is outstanding. If you love nature, you won't make a mistake here; the balcony offers an excellent place to see part of Serbia's landscape. You have everything you need to make almost any food you wish and plenty of space to enjoy basking in the sun. If you feel cold and there is snow outside, you can freely light the fireplace and have the whole experience. The beds are decent, and we slept without significant issues.

The first thing to keep in mind is the distance and Serbian infrastructure. The village is not hard to find, using maps and roadsigns, you will find it with no issues. But the road to the apartment is not good; it's tight and challenging, and if it's raining/snow, you will have a tough time driving. We got there with an SUV, but if you have a car with low suspension, please keep this in mind, as there is a chance that you won't make it, or at least with ease. It's nothing with the apartment itself, or they can influence it, but you should keep this in mind. The room is clean, that is correct, but if you are looking for an issue, you will find it. It could benefit from deep cleaning, but it should not affect your stay. Be mindful of the bathroom, as it has everything you need for a quick shower and clean, but if you wish to enjoy showering in couples or expect luxury, kindly lower your expectations. It will suit you and do the job, but that's it. The soundproofing is not as good as in hotels where you don't or nearly hear anything. It's decent, but you can still hear animals or occasional noise from outside. One major thing that will affect your experience is a double-edged sword. On the one hand, having a place full of windows is excellent for the sun and views, but at the same time, those windows have no adequate protection from the sun. If you are not used to sleep during the day, you will wake up in the morning from the sunrise. The most significant improvement to the place can be done only by adding proper shades/blinds to the windows. The one provided is transparent and covers 1/3rd of the one window; the other windows were entirely sunlight.
