Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The receptionist who greeted us was exceptionally friendly and helpful. This hotel truly came to our rescue late at night after another hotel we had booked informed us there was no room available. Our room was comfortable, with cozy beds and all the essentials for an overnight stay while traveling. The hotel features a lovely, atmospheric restaurant where we enjoyed a tasty breakfast. There was a party nearby in the evening, but it ended right at midnight, and afterwards it was perfectly quiet, allowing for a great night’s sleep.

Nothing that wouldn’t be quickly and efficiently resolved by the competent staff.
Five star service, extra friendly and professional staff, clean, secure, peaceful and yet close to town. Everything is top class. I personally have especially enjoyed high ceilings and extra long bed.

The hotelroom was nicely decorated though it was in need of renovation, Besides that it was nice. Breakfast is in the restaurant next door and was fine. Good parkingplaces.

Everything was nice.
+ nice yard + professional and helpful staff + pet friendly (no extra cost) + cheap but good breakfast + really good local restaurant next door + everything you need for stay was in the room - bathrobe, slippers, showergel/shampoo, even toothbrush + good wifi, nice big room. Shared balcony for smoking. + room for parking + electric kettle and mini freezer in room

Ventilator in bathroom very noisy
Very friendly staff, good size room (take the 3 people room with terrace). Nice restaurant next door. Quiet at night.

There were some small leaks of watter from the door of the terrace, but given the extra rainy weather it was acceptable I suppose one-off.
The staff is super super nice, friendly and taking the extra mile in making you feel at home! We have visited for a wedding of friends and we needed hairstyling and make-up, we didn't even figure out to ask for assistance on the reception, we just shared we are visiting a wedding and out of a sudden the people there let us know they have arranged professionals to visit at site for other people and they can arrange us as well. Without hesitation we took the offer! We were amazed that they quickly turned out a room into an very comfy improvised harystyling and make-up studio and the professionals they have hired were amazing - they did an excellent job - from the first attempt even better than on our own wedding! Thank you!

Rooms may be need refreshment in small details ( shower cabin).
Outside of the town. Quick check-in. Comfortable room with all basic equipment you need and quiet area. Beds were comfortable and room quite large. Tastefull breakfast with local dishes in a perfect etno ambient of wooden cottage. Staff was perfect.

Despite knowing about the event, they failed to inform us beforehand. Upon arriving at 9:30 PM, we were offered two rooms due to the loud music. We inquired about the music's end time and, told it would stop at 11:00 PM, we opted to stay in one room to avoid unpacking into two. The music continued past 11:00 PM; at 11:10 PM the receptionist assured us it would stop in ten minutes, but it finally ceased at 11:35 PM. The hotel is difficult to locate and far from the highway.

Small parking in front of the hotel, but at least was parking 😉 They charged us double for breakfast as it was on Booking.com, btw it's also at the restaurant next door 😊

Our room was next to an event centre, where there was a wedding until midnight ! We cannot sleep at all!

It definitely needs renovation, especially the bathroom (wet ceiling falling apart around the ventilator, mouldy shower, etc). Apparently the cleaning staff was off that week, which I don’t get, but in general it seems that it is not properly cleaned. Bed throws for example make the bed feel dirty, etc.
The staff was very nice and forthcoming. The bed mattress was comfortable.
