Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

MaltaNot that we didn't like anything howeever it is good to note that the village is very small, there are no actual shops however the town is 12Km's away. There is another village close by around half way to the town, around 6Km's that has one shop, when we checked it was closed but a local told us to knock on the adjacent house door and the owner came out, opened the shop for us which was cool!
The hosts are truly amazing and treat you like their own family. Even though they are Serbian speaking, we still managed to communicate thanks to online translation and body language. They even gave us complimentary home made food which was a very nice and sweet surprise. This place is so peaceful, it was almot unreal and it was so easy to just lay back and relax. The village is very small and most houses seem to be uninhabited which made it even more charming and a bit mysterious even. Very beautiful walking & trekking options & if you are lucky you can even admire wild animals like Deer or wild boar (so bring a good set of binoculars)

United Kingdom1) Misleading, untruthful location information provided on Booking.com. The house is not located in Svrljig. It is located in Varos, a small village 25 minutes drive from Svrljig. This was a huge drawback, because there is absolutely nothing in Varos. Whatever you need, you must drive 25 minutes each way to Svrljig, which, by the way, I found to be a very ugly town, that is 50 minutes in total, on the narrow and perilous road between Svrljig and Varos, which runs along canyons without guard rails. 2) Despite the listing on Booking.com stating that the landlords speak "German, English, Bulgarian" (I omit Croatian, which is basically Serbian), the truth is that they only speak Serbian. if I hadn't had a Serbian husband talking to them, communication would have been impossible. So more incorrect information. And mind that using Google translate to reply to some message does not amount, under any circumstance, to speaking a language. 3) Misleading information again. The swimming pool is no swimming pool. A swimming pool should have pumps filtering water, ensuring a constant level of hygiene and cleanliness. Instead, this swimming-pool-looking construction did not have any such thing. It's just a pool-looking rectangular hole filled with water. When we arrived, the water was already dirty, with sediments at the bottom of the "pool" and tons of dead insects and leaves floating on its surface. If you like to swim in swamps, or rather in a swamping pool, that may be for you, but I am aware that 99% of people would never consider swimming in unfiltered dirty water that may also pose a health hazard. Further, since there was already a mosquito infestation, offering breeding water to the insect should have been avoided. 4) During 17 days of our 3.5 week stay, that is, for the majority of our stay, we had no power/electricity between 8AM and 5PM.
Good choice of towels and bed linen.
