Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. United StatesIt’s a bit expensive but very nice. The gym area could use some work and the property really begs for a pool or heated jacuzzi, but overall it’s a gorgeous luxury hotel in an ideal location with superb service!
Fabulous design, gardens and service, warm hospitality, good food and enjoyable evenings of music , dance and barbecues by the fire… perfect base for trekking !

United KingdomNew hotel and still a little bit characterless. Needs more warmth and colour although money has been spent on great beds and good sofas. It was cold when we were there and there is no heating although staff quick to provide a spare heater and hot water bottles.
Food is very good. Planting alongside rooms is beautiful. Rooms are separate villas and are huge. with excellent bathrooms, also huge. Staff are extremely helpful. Good location near to national park. Quiet. Spa will be a great addition when it opens.

I was warmly welcomed by friendly staff up on arrival Mr Bienfeit organized my park activities for gorilla trekking which was amazing. The food was great and i was treated with the authentic and delicious arabic cuisine, thanks to the Chef. Rooms and amenities were top notch. Overall my stay was great and would highly recommend.

The staff in this recently opened property are very attentive and made for a memorable stay. The accommodation, in chalets, is laid out in an idyllic garden with so many flowering plants attended by so many brightly coloured birds, it is so relaxing. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, the beds are the best. We enjoyed our food although more variety in menu would be appreciated. It is handily located for the Volcanoes NP and the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Foundation.
