Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWalking down to the breakfast through the maze that is the whole complex of towers and some poor signage
Muyad at reception was fantastic at checking us in, he made sure this was seamless and gave us a fab room. First time KSA that I’ve had the hotel call to check in to see if everything was okay and to our satisfaction during our stay, house keeping was very good and took care of everything we needed, and the range of the breakfast menu meant everyone could eat what they wanted from pancakes to a full on south Asian cuisine.

United KingdomThe lift was a bit busy by praying time. Leave your room 10 - 15 min before every Azan just in case for the lift delays. You can use the Hotel Mousqe on Level 6 . If you are late for Kabba prayer. Apart of that everything it was nice .
Location it was exellent.

United KingdomReception staff can be unhelpful, especially the females during the day. Do not use the kids club, it is overpriced and run by unenthusiastic attendants who just sit watching TikTok videos, I didn't feel my children were looked after at all during the time in the club. Overall do not expect much help from the natives working at the establishment. The breakfast is bland and not worth the money, and clean tables can be hard to find and are slow to be cleaned. There are no stair routes down to the ground floor have to wait sometimes an eternity for an elevator. Booking taxis through the hotel is overpriced and run by careless unprofessional individuals who sit in the car park smoking away whilst people wait tirelessly forming queues at their desk. The cooker and kettle in the rooms are slow to heat up. 😠👎 #HotelReview #Service #Breakfast #Elevator #Taxi #Staff
Exceptional above and beyond service by housekeeping. They do a brilliant job. Room service dining was good with tasty fresh food reasonably priced.

Saudi ArabiaThe sometimes absolutely interminable waiting times at the tower elevators (some of which regularly seemed to be out of service for several hours at a time), expensive room rates, and the fact that they locked the ladies' musalla after every prayer. We would have loved to have the option of availing ourselves of this facility throughout the day and night. It is spacious, air conditioned, immaculately clean, and peaceful with a lovely view of the haram.
Wonderfully convenient location, spacious room size, great shower water pressure, delicious and varied breakfast options, helpful and friendly elevator security officers, cordial room service personnel, and super restaurant staff and service. A thousand thanks to them all. Our stay was marvellous, alhamdu liellaah. The primary hesitation we might have for returning would be the elevator issues.

KuwaitThey don't have any fairness when it comes to billing. It was said on the site that some amount will be deducted as soon as reserve the hotel, but they don't mention that your 90% of the amount gets deducted. Secondly, when it comes to parking, there should be a principle of fairness in disclosing the parking charges. They are charging around 12 SAR per hour, which I should have considered during booking itself. Imagine that you are staying their for 5 nights and you end up paying more than 1300 SAR only for parking. Lastly, the mechanism of managing the lifts is very poor during the peak time of prayers, they have got only 3 lifts to cater the high volume of customers, and all of them either go up at one time or come down at one time. The lifts should be managed in such a way that there has to be a balance.
Overall the experience was good as it has got close proximity with Haram area.

MalaysiaI found the price to be quite expensive for just one night . I expected better value for the cost.
I stayed at a hotel located very close to Masjid al-Haram, which was extremely convenient for performing prayers and attending religious activities. The location is definitely one of the biggest advantages. Breakfast was decent with a wide variety of choices, which was a pleasant way to start the day.The room was comfortable and clean, providing a good place to rest after a long day.

United KingdomThe carpet is worn and needs replacing. There was an unpleasant smell in the room, likely from old furniture and fixtures, and possibly from pigeons in the area, which should be addressed. Having visited after two years, we felt the hotel would benefit from renovation. Check-in took 30 minutes despite several counters being staffed, with little effort made to welcome guests.
The location was excellent, and the breakfast was brilliant. The breakfast/dining manager was exceptionally helpful and accommodating, even arranging breakfast in our room for a family member who was unwell.
