How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe location and setting was beautiful. The gardens are maintained and certainly add the paradise feel. The hosts were great offering useful information and being very kind and friendly. I can't recommend this place highly enough and we would definitely stay here again.
The walk to and from the beach can be a bit daunting but this is not the fault of the place. Just the location. It's dark and poorly lit with a few barking dogs. However I'd say it's worth it for the place.

Verified reviewVery peaceful, lovely host, good value for money. Right in thick of the Seychelles feeling. Good place to visit, would revisit next time in Seychelles
Nothing bad about the property itself. There is limited shops and restaurants, not a lot of diversity however if you travel abit around this isn’t a issue.
😊 Thanks for the review.

Verified reviewThe eco vilage is set in a beautiful tropical forest wih a very well maintained garden, full of birds songs and exotic plants. We rented the 2-bedroom villa, which was perfectly clean and had all you need for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. The beds were very comfortable. The villa has a private swimming pool - very clean and pleasant to use. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We were in paradise!

Verified reviewAbsolutely perfect! A real paradise. The house has all the amenities you might need, the surrounding area and its gardens are absolutely stunning!! You can unwind with the sounds of the forest, enjoying the lush green view while bathing in the amazing round pool... beautiful, unique experience. Although the round pool is shared, we were always alone there. Both the 1 bedroom chalet and the house with 2 bedrooms and private swimming pool are amazing!! Wifi was good and in the 2 bedroom chalet there's Netflix and other streaming platforms and good internet connection. My 18 year-old son was happy with this! The staff were super nice, helped us rent a car and supported us with everything during our stay. Amazing place! The beach is at a 5min walk, also supermarket and restaurants. Amazing place!! Can't wait to return.

Verified reviewA Peace in Paradise is run by a nice family and met our expectations. The family lives on the compound, so someone is always available and responsive. We loved our unit with a private pool and full kitchen. 😍 The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. You can walk to the beach where there are a handful of grocers and restaurants. Although you see other guests from time to time, the garden provides a lot of privacy.
Not a negative as much as a few things to consider if you are looking at staying here. This location is run more like an air BnB than a hotel. The various cottages are different, and I think the listing on Booking.com might not make that super clear. Just make sure you know which cottage you are booking. They all look very cute and have nice designs, but some have balconies, some dont; some have full kitchens, others don't. We stayed at the largest house with a private pool and full kitchen, it was perfect! Some of the smaller units seem more like glamping. Just make sure your vacation expectations are aligned correctly with the unit you are booking. Read the house rules. You need to take out your own trash. It's really easy to do, just public trash bins on the street. If you aren't renting a car, that might be more annoying, though. Recycling is available on location. Also, don't run the Aircon when you aren't there. Bring cash for the tourist levy that is charged per night. Anywhere you stay is required to charge it, per adult. The cost depends on the size of the hotel and it is mostly only able to be paid in rupees. (I think we paid 25 rupees per night, per adult here.)
Hi. Thanks for the review. Happy to know you had a great time. Just to note that, All our properties even the cabana have balcony overlooking tropical gardens. Re the room see below, but the host pushed for me to pay in cash, saynig there was a problem with my card from before I arrived which booking.com had missed, but didn't want to use her card machine to try again. Wanted cash rather than go through Booking.com, wanted to charge me, 12.1% more for paying in cash, saying 1 euro = 15.39 SCR, when sites like Oanda.com all say 1 euro = 13.69. When I refused the crazy exchange rate, don't forget the 20% she was saving by not paying Booking.com, The host then, cancelled my booking and increased the price Id agreed to on Booking.com by 20%, my card miraculously worked that time. It was late, but needless to say I left the next morning. Please also note that the host does not include the tourism tax to the booking.com rate, which is an additional tax per day, paid to the host. A tax which my next hotel did either not charge or included in their room rate. About the room itself, its quaint but small/low, the top of the doors are the height of my mouth. Mind your head with toilet trips at night if youre taller than 5 ft !!! :), the bed prevents the door from opening kind of thing, think its a converted garden shed, set in a tropical garden, but there is a mosquito net for the bed. Im not a fan of not being able flush toilet paper down the toilet, especially with no water gun at the toilet, don't like the smell or hygiene issue, but maybe thats just me. I gather the construction noise/foot traffic is temporary. There is no wifi in the room and you need to empty the trash into the recycling (bearing in mind you cant flush used toilet paper) and clean up when you leave, or $ taken from deposit, Read the review where the host says she charged a guest for leaving sand on the floor. The free parking was on the public road, 50m down the road.

Verified reviewWe stayed in the villa and i really liked that there is a private pool and garden attached to it, kitchen is well equipped, nice interior, comfortable beds
The biggest issue of this place is the host Erada, i do not recommend staying in A Peace in Paradise because Erada doesn’t seem to know what hospitality means. There are a lot of rules you need to follow (which is okay), but the way they were delivered to us is not acceptable. Erada would scream and argue in a very rude, not respectful manner if there is any disagreement or if ‘in her view’ you are not properly following the house rules. Other thing is that bathrooms didn’t have proper doors, so there is no privacy at all and the A/C is only available in the bedrooms, so in hot days other parts of the villa including kitchen, living room and especially 2nd floor are not livable.
Oleksandra and her family are very rude guests. Has no respect for the islanders and the hosts house rules. I politely ask her to switch off the air-conditioning when she is out for the day and she argue with me. She didnt like when i explain to her about our recycling programme and sustainability programme at the property. She comes from Russia were its cold to a tropical climate and she complains about the heat. The house has air-conditioning, the bathroom has sliding doors, the villa is shaded by trees with large patio doors for fresh air . We offered her fruits from our garden which she took but not even a thank you. We have had some lovely reviews aboutnour property from guests who are happy with our services and the property.

Verified reviewAn amazing place set in quiet and safe Anse La Mouche. sepnt a week here with my 16 year-old son. Friendly and helpful owner who made us feel welcome right from the start. Super cosy cabanas set in an absolutely awesome jungle garden full of birds, flying foxes, geckos…as well as the owner's two cute pet dogs. Self catering with a fully equipped garden kitchen suited us perfectly. 5 min walk to Supermarket, restaurants, bus stop and the lovely calm beach. Overall the area is very calm, quiet and safe. We did a lot of walking and the traffic was no problem. I'll come back, first chance I get.
We loved everything. No complaints.
Thanks for the review. Its been great to have hosted you and yoir son. Thank.you for choosing our paradise property.

Verified reviewBeautifully presented, lovingly maintained property set in a jungle like garden just a couple of minutes stroll from the beach. We stayed in the villa, which is basically the owner’s own home when it’s not being rented out. It’s fully equipped with a beautiful pool out the back. It has everything you need for an enjoyable and relaxing stay.
There is construction going on right out the front, which you need to be aware of. It’s not overly intrusive and finishes pretty early each day. The workers are pretty considerate and there’s minimal use of power tools etc. But you need to be aware of this, and check whether it’s still continuing when you make the booking.
Thanks for the review. The small cabin that was being constructed has now finished. We thank you for your understanding. Best regards Stephen

Unprofessional Owner and Unjustified Charges - Avoid This Property; Credit Card Trap! This stay was an absolute nightmare! The owner of the property was incredibly unprofessional and rude throughout our entire interaction. After a thorough check-out inspection conducted by the owner herself, we were surprised to receive a €200 charge on our credit card just one hour after leaving. Upon calling to inquire about the charge, the owner became panicked and started shouting. Despite explaining that we simply wanted a reasonable explanation for the charge, especially since the property had already been inspected, she continued to be belligerent and ultimately hung up the phone abruptly. There is absolutely no justification for this charge, and we will be disputing it with our credit card company. Here are some of the key takeaways from this experience: Unprofessional Owner: The owner's behavior was unacceptable and completely ruined our experience. Unexplained Charges: Be wary of surprise charges after your stay. Poor Communication: The owner was unwilling to have a civil conversation about the issue. l!
Mr Ibrahim and his partner stayed at my new self catering villa for two nights. They broke the shower door, left all their trash and sand everywhere in the villa without respect for our house rules. They left before check out time when I inspected the villa I found the shower door has been damaged and I ask.him to come back to inspect the damage but he didn't accept responsibility. I contacted booking com about the damage and we charged guest for the damage to our property. I have many great reviews on guest stay at our property and it's unfortunate that Mr Ibrahim damaged my property and refused to accept responsibility and left quietly without reporting the damages to us. Everything was fine during their two day stay, I organised tours and taxi services for him and his girlfriend as we always do our best to fulfill our guests requests. I understand he is angry as he didn't want to accept and pay damages he did to our property. We have never wrongfully charged our clients any money unless there is damage to our property incurred by guests during their stay. Stephen Mellon

Absolutely nothing. Everything was as or better than expected. I read a lot of negative reviews for the property, complaints ref no TV or radio, coffee percolator! All of which would have disturbed and spoilt the lovely ambiance of this peaceful venue.
