How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Verified reviewBeautiful room (number 7) with a balcony - the view over the Indian Ocean was fab. Very clean, lovely shower gel and shampoo/conditioner. The staff at the hotel are super helpful and friendly. A particular mention: Thomas and Tabi were super smiley and a pleasure to chat to. Not forgetting Marcus the head chef who made delicious menus every night and who took time to come and chat to his guests (the lamb and the grilled fish were particularly delicious). The cocktails at the bar were lovely and the bar provides fantastic views of the ocean and the pool. The pool was very clean, relaxing area. We appreciated the fact that the hotel manager came to chat with us regularly, he is such a lovely man. We were on half board basis and this worked well for us. A memorable holiday for us on Mahé island.
Nothing to dislike- however the only negative aspect for us was that the hotel charges for still water with your evening meal… 75rsp/bottle - this is not expected from a 4* hotel on a half board basis and rather expensive. Especially when guests will order wines or cocktails with their meals. Something to bear in mind.

Verified reviewThe beach at the hotel was absolutely beautiful, and the location was perfect. Our room was stunning and the entire property was well maintained, with lush, beautifully kept grounds. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive—they went above and beyond to assist us with transfers from Mahé to Praslin and even helped us arrange a rental car. We also arrived earlier than expected, and they kindly allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated after a long journey. Overall, a wonderful and seamless experience.
While the room was beautifully decorated for our honeymoon, it would have been lovely to have a few extra touches to make it feel more special—like a complimentary glass of bubbles or a small welcome treat. Also, the bed was a bit too soft for our liking. That said, overall we had a wonderful stay and truly appreciated the warm hospitality.

Verified reviewExcellent hotel and ammenities. We had a room with a pool and it was the best we could ask for. We also had half board included and it was excellent food and variety. Staff is very nice as well, they are educated and usually speak english, french and creole. Hotel also gives you 2 bottles of water per person/per day.
Maybe that there is limited activity to do. Perhaps you could dispose some yoga/pilates classes; also that for dessert you had limited choice, if you could have some icecreams in the buffet it would be good.

Verified reviewWe wanted to spend the last couple of days of our holiday in a total relaxation after going around the islands. From the moment we arrived, the staff ensured a seamless check-in and a warm welcome. We arrived a bit earlier but the room was ready after a short waiting time. The room was beautifully designed, and equipped with everything one needs for a comfortable stay. The bed was so cozy. The balcony with the seaview was amazing. The hotel amenities were very good. The pool area was lovely, and the restaurant served very good breakfast and dinner. During our time the place was peaceful and not that crowded. The service was exceptional. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to make our visit perfect. Special thanks to Rania! Also a little birthday surprise was organized. After the check-out we had a couple of hours to spend before going to the airport, so they let us use the hotel facilities during that time. They also provided a shower room to freshen up before the flight. We really recommend this hotel!

Verified reviewLets start with the obvious part - the hotel is on the beach and the beach is small but breathtaking. White sand, magnificent ocean water, no reef close by so easy to get in and out of the ocean and no concern of stone fish etc. We spent hours swimming in the sea. The pool area is lovely. Large pool, sun loungers (some shaded with umbrellas) and sufficient loungers for the guests. The hotel does not have many chalets so its never over crowded. We chose the two chalets with private pools which we really enjoyed. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The wine list is reasonable for lunches and dinner.
The food service is slow and you often have to get up and call a waiter to assist during the day. Probably too few staff around the pool area to cater for all the guests. The lunch menu is fixed (never changes) and is limited. It could probably do with an update. The breakfast is buffet and was reasonable. Could so with some additional variety. The dinner is a choice of 3 starters, 4 mains and 2 desserts. The fish at dinner was generally very good, they meat was regularly over cooked and dry. The setting for dinner is lovely with a beautiful view of the ocean, the food is reasonable. The hotel is about 5km either way from nearest village and the roads are narrow and difficult (particularly at night). You would definitely need a car due to the elevating terrain (difficult to walk and cars drive quite fast on very narrow roads)

They are also well versed in recommending the best spots to visit and even arranging a thrilling island-hopping experience for you to explore even more of what Seychelles has to offer. Verified review10 AM for checkout is a total turn off and quite unique. I think its the worst I have in 40+ countries visited. Being charged 200 Euros for one and a half hours (for a late chack out) is a little bit much.

A 10am checkout time is fairly standard across the islands and is set to ensure our team can prepare rooms for arriving guests. However, we do understand how precious every moment on the island can be, which is why we invite guests with a later departure to make use of our pool and restaurants after check out. We also always ensure refreshment facilities are available to our guests, who may wish to change into something more comfortable before departing from the hotel. Verified reviewEverything was great, very nice boutique hotel. Only the blanket wasn't put on for the night, everything else was done front and back. Good breakfast and dinner options. Many evenings there was live music band playing. Very clean place, helpful staff.
Had to pay separately for drinks and these were rather pricy. There was no swing on the palm tree. The nearest larger settlement is the city of Victoria ca 9 kilometers away, small shop 10 minutes walk distance.

Verified reviewStunning views, the chalets just in front of the ocean and beach. Fantastic menu and all necessary amenities available. The most important however is a staff, extremely friendly and kind and helpful. It was an amazing experience to be at Caracas Beach and we already miss the place.
