I'm sure even the most sensitive travelers would find it hard to be bothered by something here. I'll say this, more as advice, than a complaint. The house is situated on top of a very steep hill (part of the incredible experience and view), which will be hard to climb on foot, but not impossible (we've done it, while carrying a baby - wouldn't recommend). Thus either have a car rented, or be prepared for a solid daily exercise. I assume, for those in great shape, it's not even that hard.

When you imagine your vacation at a place as beautiful as the Seychelles, this is what you imagine. And some things you probably couldn't even imagine. Casa Doro is a special place, with a special host. We've spent 8 amazing days here, and I only regret we didn't have more time. We've been traveling with booking.com for years, visiting many countries and staying at many lovely accommodations, but nothing came close to what we experienced here. I won't go into detail about what made our stay here so special, as it would just be listing superlatives. I'll just highly recommend Casa Doro to everyone, and let you experience it yourself. I'm sure the wonderful host, Lydia, will help guide you to all the magical places and things that are so conveniently close to the accommodation, and also within Casa Doro itself. We’ve had an amazing holiday. We love the place so much, the sunsets and the food she cooked for us. Lydia has been so amazing, welcoming and caring that made us feel like at home since the day one. Definitely a place to come back and we shall :)

Casa D'Oro was like a home away from home. Lydia, the host, is wonderful. She makes you feel at home and loads you up with loads of fresh fruits from her garden. We were welcomed with coconut water (which was easily among the best I've had). Our fridge was also neatly stocked with bread, butter, jam, and eggs. The view from the villa is exceptional and the private pool is oh-so-amazing. Will definitely come back here!

Nothing really, everything was as expected. The flat is up quite a steep hill which was a bit of a challenge for our rental car after it rained but can't really fault the host for this, just something to be aware of.

The location is great and has a wonderful view out over sunset beach. The Garden around the property is beautiful and Lydia is a kind and generous host who's always happy to help out.

A wonderful place on the mountainside. Here you can enjoy magnificent sunsets and birds singing, as well as a very beautiful garden with orchids. It is so secluded here that you will hardly want to leave this place. There is also a large and clean pool on the territory, in which it is pleasant to swim in the middle of a hot day. I would like to note that except for you and the owners, there will be no one else in the villa, this is super. Well, the main thing is the people, we have never met such a warm welcome as in this place! They helped us with car rental, with problems that arose and in general with everything! We are really happy that we chose this accommodation. This is our second time in the Seychelles and we have been to more than one accommodation, but we liked this one the most. If you need peace and quiet, then this is definitely for you. Renting a car is very desirable to comfortably move to shops and beaches. The sense of seclusion from and accessibility to everything else, with a rental car, of course, especially to Sunset Beach, which we loved. Lydia and Jeff took great care of us ensuring we had a clean, comfortable and relaxing stay. We truly felt at home away from home. We look forward to returning in the future!

Excellent location, private garden, swimming pool, gorgeous ocean and sunset views, wonderful and caring hostess! Lydia gave recommendations on which places to visit, where to eat local cuisine. She met us at the port and took us to the airport. She cooked us a very delicious dinner. The kitchen is well equipped, there were breakfast items in the fridge and cold water for drinking. Spacious shower room. The apartments are very nice and cozy. It's a very emotional place for us. We'll be back again!

Our stay in the Seychelles was truly remarkable, and we are grateful to have been Lydia's guests. Lydia is an exceptional host who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort , made sure we had breakfast items for our arrival and fresh local fruits and provide us with a wealth of information about the islands. Our daily conversations were a delight, and we felt truly at home in her lovely home. Lydia's property is stunning, with a well-appointed room large bathroom, living room and kitchen, a beautiful private garden, and a refreshing pool. The breathtaking ocean views from her garden were a constant source of awe. Her adorable dog added to the charm of our stay. Lydia also arranged the pick up from the airport and arranged a rental car for us through a reputable company that provided excellent service. Friendliest host. Most amazing pool with the best view. Loveliest garden. Fully equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and large TV. Lydia had in store for us some bread,jam,coffe capsules and milk (a big thing in Seychelles) Lydia's home-cooked dinner was a real highlight and culinary delight. We really enjoyed our stay during day and night. Peaceful neighbourhood and big garden. Secure parking with a gate. Memories in Casa Doro will stay with us forever.

Lydia is an exceptional host and made our stay at her place an unforgettable experience. We felt welcomed and very well taken care of. The place has an amazing view over the west coast of the main island. Lydia’s house is a gem! Absolutely stunning! The house is perfectly clean, new and curated in every single detail. It was for me much better than expected. The bed is very very comfortable ( topper and double pillows for person). The view from the bed is on the ocean with a breathtaking sunset view. Moreover, Lydia left in the house for us any good for breakfast, so that you can have breakfast in the house. She also provided a nespresso coffe machine with the coffee capsules, for a nice espresso. Another relevant thing: she cooked for us a creole dinner that was hands down the best meal in seychelles. A tuna carpaccio, fried eggplants,mango salad, papaya side and chicken curry to die for! Lydia is one of the nicest and most generous person you can meet, and you will feel more than welcome in her house. It was a pleasure meeting her. The house is located 5 mins walk from the prettiest beach on Mahe (sunset beach) that is very private and incredibly beautiful (nice for snorkeling as well). Hands down the best place to stay in Mahe! Very recommended!

From the offset, our host, Lydia, couldn't have been more accommodating. She was in regular contact with us prior to our arrival to ensure we had everything we needed for our stay, particularly as we were travelling with our 10 month old baby. The property's location was perfect for us, just a short drive from the seaside but far enough that the noise of the sea couldn't be heard (our personal preference!). The accommodation was very comfortable, spacious bathroom and a cute little garden just for us. Having access to the pool was also a great bonus. Our stay in the Seychelles exceeded our expectations and we can't wait to go back!

Lydia is the most warm and caring host and will do her utmost to help you have a wonderful stay. She had filled our fridge when we arrived and she provided water, avocados etc. for us during the stay. She gave really good tips where to hike, snorkle and eat. She also did everything in her power to prevent us from getting even more mosquito bites. The 1-room apartment was clean and the beds were comfortable. The 2 fans and aircondition were very nice to have and the safety box too although we felt safe with our belongings at all times. The pool was perfect for our 8-year old daughter in her attempt to learn how to swim and the view over the sea from the beautiful garden is stunning. The Sunset Beach at the foot of the hill is really the best beach. Calm waves and wonderful snorkling. Lydia's dog was so calm, sweet and well-behaved. You must have a car to get around.

All was amazing! You have the privet garden, privet pool, amazing owners Lydia and Jeffrey. They help you with everything and it is just a perfext pleace to relax and enjoy your holiday! I really recommend this pleace! Its clean and spacious and you are the only guests. Love it!
