Breakfast was marginal and the same every day we stayed. The showerhead kept rotating on its own and I had to wedge a toothpaste tube into it to stabilize it.

We were able to make a last minute reservation, the same day we stayed the first night.

The desk in the room was sticky and there was a weird stain in.the carpet. The curtains are very light. For the summer nights they just don't keep the light out enough to get a good night's sleep. Didn't see much staff during my stay. There was no one at the reception and I had to make a phone call to get in. There was someone providing breakfast, but no interaction at all.

Location close to the Gotland ferry. Good bed. Spacious bathroom.

In WC room light was blinking, shower handset was loose on wall, night lamp over bed was loose as well. Night lamp connection not the best way - directly next to head when sleep.

The hotel wasn't manned (except at breakfast). That said, there was a number you could phone if there was a problem. We had lost the code to get in, but the phone was answered immediately by a cheerful lady who helped us. So it wasn't really a problem, but it could be if there was some major issue. No hair dryer.

The hotel is exceptionally convenient for the ferry to Gotland. The room and bed were very comfortable. I was concerned that breakfast might not be good as the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but it was actually great. If you want a restaurant for the evening meal, we found a very good one a short walk away in the old railway station.

The location was perfect for me. It was a short walk uphill from the ferry terminal and bus stops. I stayed here briefly after Visby while using the regional bus to visit Misterhult and later travel to Kalmar.

The breakfast was great. Fresh cheeses, salami, fruit etc. The location worked great for me as I was taking the ferry next morning and it is literally 5 min walk. Also, the check in for me was around 1 am so they provided all the details for me such as the codes and left the key on the reception counter. Well done.

The fan in the bathroom seemed to be on continuously which was a bit annoying at night. Couldn't get the chrome cast to work. The most disappointing part was the breakfast. It had a wide variety of meats, cheeses, cereals etc but the buns provided were not nice. Some were squashed and they tased stale. Not sure if this is what they are supposed to be like.

The location was excellent. It was probably the closet accommodation to the ferry. Literally a 2 minute walk. On arrival the outside of the hotel looked a bit shabby but once inside it was fine. We had no problems checking in and not having staff on site. Parking was good as was the use of the dining room to sit in and make ourselves coffee as often as we wanted.

Even though is a bit old and doesnt look like it from the outside it has a pleasantl suprising high standard. Rooms are tidy and baths modern and generous, the breakfast is great and breakfast room a sunny heaven. Very recommended.

Location is unattractive, and there was no staff seen. The rooms were too warm, but it didn't feel safe to leave door/window open overnight.
