Breakfast was good, varied and copious as required (buffet style).

Regulation of room temperature was not possible. A ceiling fan provided some relief.

Located practically in the centre, very nice hotel. Walking distance from restaurants etc. Parking for few cars and motos. Rooms are bit bigger than in the new hotels, one of the reasons we picked this one. Excellent breakfast.

A bit oldish with corridors and dark shade interiors. Book the parking beforehand.

What a little gem of a hotel. Nothing like those modern hotels that look and feel like shoeboxes without any character. We got a lovely and quirky corner room in the old part of the hotel, that surprised us in a wonderful way. The breakfast was somewhat basic but most things you would ask for was available. Nice and friendly staff.

This hotel is located very centrally, with walking distance "everywhere". It has a parking lot, with reserved areas for motorcycles - exactly what I needed. The receptionist was very welcoming and took good care of me. The breakfast was decent, and the atmosphere of the hotel was great. I may actually come back. Room was clean, and calm allowing me a good nights sleep.

The room was tiny, and without a proper window, as it was in the basement of the hotel. This was a budget room, so I did not mind. I would not want to spend time in the room, so if you plan to stay more than a night, consider one of the other room categories.

Possibility to charge an electric car was excellent. Breakfast had a nice layout and there were plenty options.

Using the shower got most of the toilet floor wet.

All as expected. The receptionist was very polite and quickly found a convenient place to lock our bicycles in. The room was spacious and clean. The hotel is very well located - a mere 5 min walk takes you to Västervik waterfront. Make sure to book "Junior Suite with King Bed" rather than "Superior Double Room". We stayed at both within a few days, and the former has a much bigger bathroom and a remote control for adjusting your bed stiffness. Well worth the few extra kronor!

Disgusting scrambled eggs! ... but everything else we tried off the breakfast buffet was delicious.

I usually don’t write reviews, but I loved this hotel so much I feel they deserve special recognition. Older hotels can often be a little shabby despite renovations, but this place has both cosy, old world charm while achieving standards for cleanliness, upkeep, and comfort equal to the best hotels. Being a short and easy walk to the bus and train station as well as the city center, it was in a perfect location. Staff at the desk were welcoming, helpful, and efficient, and without my asking, helped me carry my luggage up the stairs since there is no elevator. My room was nicely proportioned, quiet, and very cosy. Breakfast was great. There is also a nice little lounge in the reception area with tea and coffee for fika alone or with others. (And for a delicious fika treat, check out Bageri 96° on Stora Torget!) I only wish I could have stayed here more than one night!
