Great stay in the old prison house. Many of the original features are preserved and the history is fascinating. The beds are really comfortable.

There isn’t anything to bring out. Everything was as expected.

The hotel is very authentic with the old cell doors and some exhibitions related to the buildings history. All the rooms were very clean and you had everything you needed. The breakfast had quite many good options and was very good. Location was good: quite close to the centre and also close to the river.

A bit awkward going into the shared toilet as I need to use the toilet a lot, so that means dressing up every time I need to go at night. But it's a historic place, so I guess it's expected that it may not be easy to retrofit.

Brilliant place to stay, not expensive, not crowded. When we arrived, there was a key left for us, as it's midsummer. It was really peculiar to be alone in the whole place.

Nothing negative to say about this place. The location was perfect with walking distance to the center. The building itself is charming and beautifully renovated. The rooms were spotless the beds comfortable, I was on an extra bed and even that was comfy. The linens are fresh and there are plenty of towels and bathrobes to use. Breakfast was simple and plentiful and the staff were charming. Unbelievably good value for money.

Room was a little bit cold (heater element in room was locked to go max to 3 out of 5) but it was managable, all knives in the common kitchen were unbelieveably dull.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel is very clean and well maintained. All facilities were working as intended and in nice shape. Location is close to the center but in a nice and quiet distance from comotion.

The toilets and showers in the corridors are not for everyone - was not a problem for us.

Very clean, nice furniture, wonderful old atmosphere despite the prison history. There was even a museum room to see. We stayed in the bigger rooms, and it was very pleasant. No noise. Tap and sink in the room are helpful. Nice bathrobes to use to go to the pretty and clean showers. Spacious toilets in the corridor. Kitchen available upstairs and a good breakfast. TV in the breakfast room. Super nice staff !

Beautiful and interesting historic building, comfortable rooms and facilities (the showers were great, shampoo and soap was provided!) and very elaborate breakfast. The hotel had everything we needed and more. The best thing about this accommodation were the two hosts - thank you for making our stay so comfortable!

We had very nice visit in Umea. Hotel located in the city center, convenient to have a walk around and dinner in close restaurants, Simple, but good breakfast served.

Toilet and shower floors should be cleaned every day. It was not the case. Maybe because I was there during low season.

Close to the city center. Very easy to get there from the train station. Close to some nice walks along the river. Very nice design! Nice atmosphere. It's great to have a big kitchen. Nice restaurant and breakfast. Very nice and helpful staff. Cosy little bedroom.

The breakfast is a little simpler then one might be used to at hotels, but is still fully adequate.

Great facilit in the historical prison. Communal showers are good and clean with soap and towels provided. Friendly staff, and there is even a small museum of the prison. Central location.

If you are tall be sure to bend over when entering your room! The door frame is a bit low.

Staff were friendly and the hotel was an interesting place to stay! I enjoyed the restored prison and museum about the history of the building. The layout was great and the location was close to central Umeå and the bus to the airport.
