The room I had was next to the street with big windows, the blinds at the top did not block out all the light and I’m very sensitive to light, was woken up by a bright room everyday. There were also lots of street noise that made it difficult to fall asleep. Inconveniently the room also had lots of stairs leading up to the room after the elevator, and to get to the elevator there were also some steps, so if you are travelling with big luggage be mindful of this feature

Some parts of the hotel were a bot worn off, maybe partially by design, given the style of the hotel. One of the elevators was very small and slow. I have to admit that the staff did their best to replace any items that happened to be in not good condition.

A music going on even at 3 am was extremely surprising, and kinda explained why there were earplugs in the bathroom I suppose. But thats still a bit unacceptable for people who want to sleep in that very comfy bed

I would have given it straight 10 if it wasn't for the sleep. Just painful. Room next to me super loud, room above me tragic. Dragging things on the wooden floors until early AM. I was dying inside. I tried ear plugs, sleeping music to cover the noise etc. I was desperate.

Firstly, this hotel has some of the most amazing la belle epoque designs I've ever seen! Just stunning. You walk around in awe. My room was cute, super comfy bed, great views. Breakfast wasn't the busiest, so I was also lucky. Location amazing!

The elevator did not work the whole stay … 4 days … well. One has to opt-in online for cleaning the next day. At night sometimes loud from the music from the bars in the neighbourhood.

Second time we stayed in the Kung Carl. We love the Design, the room. Very well located. The The breakfast was often overcrowded, but you could get a seat at all times. Good choice. Staff in the hotel very friendly, at the breakfat from time to time a bit harsh.

The only negatives were the noise that gets into the rooms and the curtains. It’s a noisy location, and unfortunately the sound enters the rooms. Earplugs and a white noise machine can help this. Last, in the summer, sunrise is around 4am…the curtains do blackout the areas they cover, but they did not cover the wall around the windows, so light still spilled in. Otherwise, it’s a great spot, the staff is nice and accommodating, and the rooms are gorgeous.

Beautiful hotel with lavish decor, beautiful bathrooms, beautiful beds and seating, and a great atmosphere. The location is convenient and upscale, the hotel architecture is elegant and includes an internal and external tower. The free breakfast is quite good, the views are nice, and the rooms feel artistic, lush, and luxury.

No full body mirror in the room, lots of steps in the hotel which made it difficult to move around with the suitcases, a small bathroom without any room to place the stuff.

Room billed as sleeping 4 with two beds was a queen with a sofa bed. The room - which apparently was upgraded at check in to a larger size - was so small that the gap between the sofa bed and main bed was only about 4 inches. Tight quarters for a family of 4!

It would be good if there were more international TV-channels to choose from, CNN and BBC, for instance. Breakfast was great but what could be added is some more fruit and baked beans.

This was the second time I stayed at this hotel, and the room with the balcony is absolutely lovely. There is a lot to choose from in the minibar and on top of that, free icecream, more than you could possibly eat. The staff is excellent and so is the location, right in the center of town. Go for room 213. It's very nice.

The staff was very friendly especially Michel from the bar, a gem. A certain Arnold showed initiative in a tricky situation.

Staff fell short in my opinion Dirty cups left in room after room service Asked for milk to be left in room. Bar staff made a note but never delivered Got to bar at 10.40 one night to be told quite rudely bar closed. 5 mins later reception confirmed bar open till 11 pm. When I pointed out the time and we couldn’t get served was told “it will be because they are cashing up” so really bar closed at 10.40. No effort made as residents to resolve
