This is an excellent hotel for attending a concert at the Dalhalla! The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The staff was very helpful and friendly and bar, restaurant and lounge areas were great too. The staff prepared some complimentary snacks after the concert and kept the bar open for us. The pool table and lounge were great for mingling with other guests too.

The majority of the rooms get the job done but my kids room were quite basic and small. Mostly beds in a small room. However the hotel is so nice they didn’t care.

It is a beautiful spot and an excellently run hotel. The food is very good and a nice breakfast. The suite rooms are beautiful and the gym is excellent.

No bus or taxi from the station so have to drag bags up the hill. It was raining the day we arrived on the train. Not an issue if you're driving

Free bikes to explore the town. Coffee & entertainment in hotel. Pool, table tennis, sauna & jacuzzi were nice things to do. Jakob was extremely kind to help us see the Lions rugby. Wonderful venue and very convenient for Dalhalla with the bus right outside

The breakfast is very good and fresh. Loved the view from the hotel. The staff is very warm and welcoming. The jacuzzi was a cherry on the top. Definetley recommend this property.

The Best Hotel in the town with an amazing view. The hotel can be seen from 5 kms as it’s on the highest peak.

The staff was super nice, the room and bed clean and comfortable. Amazing breakfast buffet and the bonus: sauna and jacuzzi! All in all a perfect (unfortunately very short) stay!

Lovely view over Siljan Lake. Lots of public spaces in the hotel to sit and chat. Good breakfast buffet (although the gluten-free (only choice) waffles were hard like crackers!)

The icy roads to climb to the hotel

I have only one problem.... and its not really a problem, as I'm sure most people dont arrive on foot, as we had to... due to the early time of our arrival. Its up a very long steep hill, and i have a physical disability.. it nearly killed me... but that all melted away when we eventually got to the top, and sat outside the hotel, waiting for reception to open ( we got there about 6am) because of the tranquility of the place, and the breathtaking views. Rattvik is a beautiful place, and this hotel is runby beautiful people!

The Staff upon our early arrival. CARIN, you are worth your weight in gold.... exceptional customer service, nothing was too much trouble, and couldnt do enough for us. Thank you Carin so much. I didnt really have the opportunity to see other staff, owing to the odd times of my stay, but im sure the whole team Is just as welcoming and proficient! Hotel beautiful..... location .. just stunning! Facilities incredible... hot tub overlooking the lake was fabulous. The breakfast deserves its own mention... sooooo much variety, all top quality food, cooked perfectly, my compliments to the kitchen staff, and the cleaning staff.. the place was spotless! Room sizeable and very comfortable. I wish i could live in this place! Such a positive experience thanks to Carin and the whole team! Well done guys... I stay in 17 -23 hotels all across europe and the eastern block each month,and this is my favourite of all! I will Definitely be back!!!

It was a little bit dusty in the room, especially under the bed. The drainage in the shower near the sauna was partially blocked.

The hotel overall was clean and cozy. Breakfast is really good and with rich sortiment (the scrambled eggs were especially delicious :-) ). The Easter lunch was really great with plenty of dishes one could choose from. The spa zone with jacuzzi and sauna is renowated since the last time we have been there and now it is new, clean and nice. The bed with its pillows was especially comfy. There is a TV in the room with several channels. But interestingly, we did not found a telephone (though we did not need it). The bathroom and shower were good, with plenty of different bottles for bathroom (shampoo, soap and others) :-) There are two free parking areas near the hotel. There is also not bad gym here. The reception lady was really nice and helpful. Due to her care we had fresh drinking water, candle lights and relaxing music in the spa area. Stayed at Easter (April) 2023

the staff member after a long 5 hour drive. asked if I’d like to join the best western membership. I wasn’t to sure and continued to pay for the stay without anymore information. the second i paid the staff member rubbed it in my face that I would’ve got a 10% discount on my stay. I thought it was such an odd way to welcome someone after a 5 hour drive from Oslo.
