We arrived on the day of Midsummer Festival and were able to arrange self check-in. The rose garden in the back is lovely. The breakfast buffet had a whole gluten-free section.

On my way to Sweden I developed a bacterial infection in my foot. The staff was very helpfull leading me into the Swedish medical care system. Spent an extra 2 nights at the hotel before I was able to move further, the people there were always intersted in my well-being.

Conveniently located in the town centre. Interesting rose garden. Friendly and helpful staff.

The decor isn’t the smartest or newest and the breakfast is not as good as at other hotels of a similar price. For example the strawberries weren’t fresh - which is disappointing in a strawberry growing area in strawberry season.

The breakfast offered a very good variety, especially on the healthy side, no gimmicky luxury The large rose garden was the highlight of the hotel. The hotel owners and the service team were very friendly and helpful.

There was no lounge or any place to sit and read or meet people except the rose garden.

Very nice location, cozy room, beautiful rose garden, helpful and friendly staff, wide offer for breakfast (with delicious ost-kaka), free coffee for fika.

We have arrived in time where not all roses were blooming - that's my only regret - it must look lovely ... .)

Location, breakfast, staff - all very good

I missed a chair and a small table in the room, but it was no big deal.

Good location in the centre of town. Good breakfast, from 07.30. They did kindly offer to pre-prepare a little breakfast for my early departure on the last day.

This is a very simple hotel. Everything you need is there in a basic sense but, considering I was there in the off-season my stay was greatly overpriced. Simply poor value. Staff is only present for limited hours; there is coffee and tea (as mostly in Sweden) but there is no bar or restaurant, or other hotel facility. Unsurprisingly, only a few rooms were occupied out-of-season. There was a 'musty' smell in the room, as if not ventilated for a long time. However the odd odour remained throughout my stay, in spite of an open window. Sound-proofing is poor, you could hear doors closing, toilets flushing and so on. The hotel would be worth a recommendation at a moderate price, but not at the rate they charged. A word on Simrishamn: A pleasant place, but totally dead outside the season. Most restaurants closed, certainly on Sunday evening.
