Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FinlandThere was no kitchen available, but we used the barbecue shelter, which was a nice option.
A cozy hotel in a beautiful setting. The breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly.

AustriaBetter quality coffee would have been appreciated for breakfast in the morning.
Located in a beautiful rural area ~1hr drive from Astrid Lindgrens Värld. Owners were friendly when we called to let them know that we’d be arriving late evening.

SpainThee hotel is being renovated and the first impression is not good. As soon as you arrive in reception this impression disappears.
The location beside Lake Södra Vixen, Mimi the hostess, the view from the terrace and the wonderful breakfast box.

NetherlandsEverything was just fine. No cons whatsoever.
The hotel was partly in renovation when we visited but none the less quite comfy and welcoming. The people running it were some of the nicest people I've ever met. Ready to help out with every wish even if it wasn't really hotel related. Just very committed to having a good place for travelers. The cook (owner/manager) prepared us a vegan meal out of what he had available, with self picked cantarelles from the surrounding forest and it was one of the best vegan dishes we've eaten in a long time. the breakfast/lunch box that had been prepared for us the next day was decorated with lovely humorous personal text and overall we felt very comfortable and at ease there. Any time again if we're in the neighborhood.

GermanyMany, many things: - The room and specially the bathroom was not completely clean. - The room has no active ventilation. - The equipment was old and some elements were broken and non-repaired (blinds in the windows, latches...), with building spare materials dispersed over the corridors (which are a risk for little children). - The shower had little pressure and a very small flow, will take more than five minutes to get warm water. - The shared kitchen was closed (don't believe the comments saying there is a kitchen you can use) so one is forced to have dinner there. But the dinner is ridiculously expensive (with no kids menu), much more than a restaurant in the closest town or even in Copenhagen! - The breakfast was poor and monotonous, with middle-low quality products or not properly cooked (like eggs or bacon). The breakfast time is between 8 and 10 but if you get there after 8,30h it is possible there is no more bread or other products any more. All bread is industrial sliced bread or frozen/unfrozen bread (although is possible at the beginning of the breakfast there was another type of bread I have only seen the crumbs). Horrible coffee on the other hand. - Rooms are very exposed to the noise generated by other people in the hotel (for example using a shared WC), with little or none notice asking for silence. Room doors close automatically generating a bang! that will for sure wake you up. - No equipment or facilites dedicated to the kids (apart of a huge tv in the hall). - It is absolutely not worth the price, mediocre hotel.
Only the location and the surroundings of the hotel. The parking was free.

SwedenThe breakfast buffé was super deliciuos!!! I stayed at the hotell during my friend's birthday party, who lives close to the hotell. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and a lovely terass over looking the lake was lovely! I really recommend you staying here. Perfectly located by the nature.

SwedenNothing.
Super cosy place in the middle of a wonderful forest. I experienced a friendly and intimate atmosphere - you could really tell that the owners had put their soul in everything from the delicious breakfast to the design of the house and the garden. The staff was extraordinarily kind and helpful despite us coming in a larger group than they were probably used to. I would definitely recommend this place!!

SwedenHotel Paradis is truly a hidden gem nestled outside of Eksjö. From the moment you arrive, you'll be struck by the stunning beauty of the area. The hotel is situated on a hilltop overlooking the lake, providing guests with a breathtaking view. The natural surroundings, including the magical forest, make for a truly serene and peaceful atmosphere. The hotel itself is an absolute delight, with gorgeous and homey decorations that make you feel right at home. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the property, from the beautifully appointed rooms to the inviting common areas. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the amazing breakfast that was served each morning. The spread was both extensive and delicious, with a range of options to cater to every taste. The staff are exceptionally friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like VIPs, with staff members readily available to answer any questions and make sure we had a great stay. Overall, our weekend stay at Hotel Paradis was amazing. The stunning location, gorgeous decor, amazing breakfast, and friendly staff all combined to create a great experience. We can't recommend this hotel highly enough!
