Kind of musty place, not a fun vibe

This place did NOT have a fun, travel hostel vibe. The area it was in felt a little sketchy, and the people I spoke to there were living in the hostel because they couldn't find apartments. I didn't meet any other solo travellers. It was dusty, and you had to pay for bedding, but at least I didn't get bedbugs (it felt like that type of place). I didn't feel particularly safe in the room either, it was all older men (again, no youth hostel vibe) and the lockers were small so I was afraid some of my luggage would be stolen. It was fine for a night I guess but I really didnt want to spend any time there, it was dark and musty and the smell reminded me of a NYC alleyway. I've stayed in way nicer hostels for the same price, that didn't make me feel constantly uncomfortable. It was also unbearably hot at all times.

It had privacy curtains and outlets by each bed. The layout seemed fine and check in and out was easy. The kitchen was also equipped for the most part.

It didnt look really like on the pictures. But still okey. You had to bring your own pillowcases and sheets. Or buy it for the night.

Nice spacious room. You had few bathrooms and kitchen which was nice. Using codes instead of keys was handy

Dull atmosphere, this is not a good option for solo backpacking. During my stay, there were some local people who appeared to be living in the hostel. It is a cheap option in Malmö but it is a long distance from the city centre if waking.

Good facilities. A lot of toilets and showers available. 2 kitchens available.

The room was a bit small.

The room was good but it was a bit far from the nearest bus stop. Don't forget to carry your sheets and towels. You can rent those for an additional money. The staff was kind and gave us the sheets and towels for free that day though. I only stayed for a night.

I traveled for 3 days because of work and needed a place to sleep, so I rented a bed in the women's dormitory. My main concern was about safety, but when I arrived it felt somehow secure. There was an electronic lock on the door, and a chain on the window (all rooms are on the first floor). People who I met were polite and we didn't have any encounters. The bed was comfortable, bedsheets clean and smell good. There are 2 kitchens available and they have all the things needed for cooking (pans, pots, cutlery, cups). There are at least 3 shared toilets, and 7 shower places. The showers are secured with doors. Beware, there is no soap/shampoo/towels. Or maybe there are towels but you have to buy them. In general I would say that Rut & Ragnars provides a good place for it's price, since it was just 1000kr for me for 3 says, while other options were around 3000kr. Please read the messages that they send through the booking website and be sure to check in before 21:00. If you check in after, CONTACT by PHONE and say you will be later. The necessary information will be provided to you on how to do a self check in.

People ate my food and tried to steal my stuff.

The staff is friendly and you get what you paid for. It is a fairly cheap option in Malmö but a bit off the city center but it is walkable. Some other people staying there were also very friendly.

The atmosphere was kind of dull, if you're solo backpacking i'd reccomend going somwhere else if you'd like to make friends.

It's great value for what you pay! If you have to be in malmö for a longer time and money is an issue, definitely go here!

I disliked the overall location, the bed was uncomfortable, one bathroom was unusable, guests were a bit awkward.
