How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room was incredibly warm. We turned off the radiator and had to sleep with the window open and it still didn’t really cool off.
The breakfast was great and the staff were lovely and helpful.

Breakfast at 8 o'clock was far too crowded. Long queue to coffee and tea area and there were no plates and forks available.
Nice clean room 605 with good bed and (narrow) showers area.

The evening meal had a great burger accompanied by fries that were so overcooked - as in probably re-done four times - that I could not get my fork into them because they were solid.
The breakfast was good.

Location excellent for road travellers. Close to motorway but quiet, set back in own grounds. Good parking. Rooms a good size, clean, modern and comfortable. The restaurant is fine, food good but selection for dinner a bit limited. Staff pleasant and helpful.

little outdated room and need to careful while showering because of the slippery bath tub and sharp glass corner.
no aircon, althought they provided a desk fan but its still niy enough to cover the room and the room smells dusty, our allergic rhinitis triggers as soon as we enter the room and our whole night we just sneeze almost whole time.

The location of the hotel was good. We had a great experience with the same hotel in another city, but here the staff were not willing to help. Their attitude was rather arrogant and they didn’t seem interested in providing any assistance.

The negatives started when the young guy at reception said he couldn't find my booking.com reservation - despite my giving him a printed copy of it. The hotel was totally booked so initially he suggested I go to the sister hotel in the city centre. Then it was suggested I could have a room that wasn't usually given to guests, and that I'd have to pay full standard room price! While in this room I was about to go online to let booking.com know what had happened when the receptionist ran to my door to tell me they'd found my booking! Subsequently full hotel meant delays at restaurant and dozens of kids stomping up and down the corridors until 23:20. Luckily I'd decided to continue driving early the next day as kids were repeating their activities from early the next day. A bit of a let down as staff appeared overwhelmed by the full hotel. Thanks to the one female restaurant person who managed to fit me in with only 25mins wait though.
The hotel is in a great location and parking seems secure. In general the rooms are a good size and always clean.

Very, very hot in the room. No A/C. Could not sleep. No ventilation at all at the room. Many things out of work in the room. Reception person at check out could not take critic. (Reception person at check-in was very polite)

Way overpriced room, food and drink. Shower was not very clean and both the food and drink was very expensive. 97SEK for 50cl of standard chezh pils is just silly.

Located near to highway, however location is very peaceful and full of nature around. Breakfast is good & complete. Dining area is spacious. Hotel's location is close to Gavle City Center. Takes around 11 minutes by cycle from hotel to the city. Cycles are available and to be checked for availability at the reception. Staff is very welcoming with excellent hospitality.
