Beds a little on the soft side but not bad. Nice to see a sauna and jacuzzi, but the gym was disappointing.

Great location for Liseberg and Avenyn. Excellent breakfast. Our room was good.

No fridge in the room. As you stay for more than one night, sometimes it is good to have a cold storage. No room temperature control inside rooms. Just general conditioning for all of hotel.

The location was perfect, beds comfortable, room quite spacious

They might need to refurbish the floors. It would be better if the windows have handles. Quite minor concerns.

They have a great breakfast selection especially for a Gothia World Youth Cup yearly event. Rooms are pretty basic but I guess that is the standard in the area. Location is excellent.

It wasn’t uncomfortable, but not super comfortable. We liked it but didn’t love it. The pictures online makes it look nicer than it is.

It was a good location for where we were going. The kids liked the bunk beds.

The beds are poor, very uncomfortable in the family room. Was not impressed the prices in the bar went up on the weekend

Location, breakfast, room good but on the small side for a family room.

The bunk beds are not really comfortable and the rooms are a bit too small. Car park is a bit expensive and very narrow. A car with a roof top fits just by a couple of centimeters in terms of the ceiling clearance.

The location of the hotel is just perfect. If you like walking everything is close and can be reached even without using the tram. Breakfast buffet is marvellos. A wide selection of bread, fruit, beverages and very customer friendly staff.

Stuff. On Friday night we arrived, we saw there was a pasta buffet that night. I immediately asked would there be pasta buffet on Saturday night as well? The first stuff said he didn’t know. He asked his colleague, his colleague said YES without any hesitation, and added ”it’s everyday”. On Saturday I ran Göteborgsvarvet, after that, we planned to go back to the hotel to eat a cozy pasta buffet. We were told by restaurant stuff there were none. The pasta buffet was only for Friday. Then we ate anyway in the restaurant, the stuff in the restaurant was not friendly neither. Though breakfast in the restaurant was good, but not much service was involved. I didn’t like the stuff working there. Double bed made by 2 single beds. The double bed made by 2 single beds easily split. They were not stable at all.

The location is good, close to Liseberg. The room is nice, breakfast is nice as well.

Nothing really. Scandic hotels are typically family hotels so if you want a quiet couple place this is not the hotel to stay at.

Scandic Opalen is an excellent hotel for a weekend stay in Gothenburg. Walking distance to Liseberg, clean rooms with comfortable beds and an excellent breakfast buffe. Especially perfect for families with kids.

There were sports groups and they were unsupervised, so their voices and a lot of joking in the hotel corridors were a source of disturbance, so we did not enjoy a peaceful sleep.

Everything was nice and quiet in this hotel. It was a great experience, The location is great too and the staff were very nice.

In the breakfast there was a rush hour. I had booked a time for breakfast, but I anyway didn't find a free table. I had to eat at the bar counter.

The hotel locates in a peaceful area near a tram stop. So it was easy to travel there. The breakfast was good and the staff friendly.

The spa and fitness center are small: it's only a single sauna room and a single hot tub for a 15-floor hotel. In the evening, the spa area is wet and unattended. The fitness machines are old and squeaky.

Breakfast were healthy and were often refilled so that everyone gets theirs. The hotel was full of families staying with kids. Despite that, we didn't hear a lot of noise, and the facilities are kept clean and tidy. City center is walkable.
