How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

We had a break in of our car. The parking is just in front of the hotel, but there is no survey or cameras. That day we weren't the only one to had this problem, also a van was valdalise. I immediately report the car break-in to the local police and formally inform the hotel staff about the incident and suggest for improved security, such as adding surveillance cameras or warning signs, to prevent future occurrences. So be carefull! The hotel is ok, but the manager should be more sensible about the problem.

No lifts so have to carry suitcases up 2 flights of stairs

No lifts - we had 2 heavy suitcases; however, a member of staff did help to carry the suitcases up the stairs.
It was a very convenient stop off on our way to Stockholm. Breakfast was simple but very tasty - you certainly wouldn’t go hungry.

sad like the ghost town of Markaryd. too expensive compared to the poor quality offered. in my (mini) room there wasn't even a small coat/shirt hanger ( asking for a wardrobe would be too obvious... ). hope you are not a big man because you cannot enter the 1 mt2 bathroom. 108 Euro for such a poor quality room also considering the strong devaluation of the crown against the euro is a real theft.

Breakfast is ok, but not a lot of choices. Beds are very soft, which is not the best for me.

The room needs some minor renovation such as cleaning the drain, fixing wallpaper
Great and quiet location. Breakfast was good. Check-in and check-out was easy. Parking is next to the hotel.

A very basic hotel in a very sleepy little town. The room was extremely hot, difficult to sleep.

The room was outdated, with very poor soundproofing, the bathroom door can only be closed with force and loud crash. There was rubbish from the former guest. After a shower the entire bathroom is wet.
Breakfast was very good and possible to enjoy outside. Good location along the main highway between Stockholm and Malmö. Friendly staff. Confortable bed.

The bathroom door-lock jamming and me having to break out; I am slightly claustrophobic. No staff at the hotel overnight meant no help in this crisis; luckily I could remove the screws with a nail-file and force the door open. The room was very hot indeed, and when we managed to get the windows wide open for the air to get in, the noise from the road outside was a great nuisance; a quiet road was being used as a drag-strip by presumably idiot teenagers, though if they could afford cars they should have been old enough to know better. This is not the fault of the hotel, but it did somewhat mar our evening until we managed to find it funny and start to laugh at the little fools.
There was no supper available on the day we were there, which came as a shock, but luckily there is a very good Chinese restaurant within walking distance even for someone with mobility problems. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean, and the breakfast was adequate to our needs. A problem with the bathroom door was most reasonably resolved by the very pleasant staff-member whom we told about it the following day. When the staff were on the premises they were good.
