How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Access for those with prams is tricky, with no ramps at access either side so we had to carry up the stairs at the main entries which was annoying.

Stayed in park royal services suite - air con played up a little , one day (Monday ) didn’t replenish coffee . Sunbeds around pool - i don’t understand why there are so few , as a lot of people struggled and even lay towels on the boards . Great area around pool though.

The room is tired. Initial damp smell went away and some noises of lift but if you are able to see past that to the comfortable bed and great value you will enjoy.

The original room we had booked was much smaller than we had anticipated. We couldn't open both suitcases in the one room, and we had no storage space for the suitcases. The room had a musky smell that was making us cough. The desk staff addressed this issue for us as soon as they could

Verified reviewHuge apartment in Singapore with a fantastic view and a great location. Although the underground (MRT) was a 10 minutes walk away, public transportation in Singapore is one of the best, so there were many options, including buses, taxis and ride shares. Bugis and Arab Street, including the Sultan Mosque were just across the road and the shopping, dining and night life was fabulous. The serviced apartments are adjoining the Park Royal Hotel and so there were two lobbies...but it's easier for the taxi to drop us off at the hotel. We stayed for 10 days and enjoyed our experience! It’s a bit run down and the single lift to access the rooms was annoying. Quite a distance via multiple lifts to access the pool.

Some of the bathroom facilities were a bit tired. Paint peeling, shower screens leaked a little, hot water didn’t last very long.

Verified reviewAmazing service from all staff. Reception staff were fantastic trying to solve issues and always helpful. Cleaning staff were lovely and did a very thorough job every day. Pool bar service by JASMINE was fantastic: super friendly, fast efficient service, delicious fresh juices and cocktails mixed with great expertise. The pool area is absolutely beautiful, a lovely place to relax for a few hours in between other activities, very family friendly. Small menu (similar/same as room service menu) - very tasty reasonably priced and arrived quite quickly (from Ginger restaurant) - highly recommend the club sandwich, pizza, fish & chips and chicken wings. Positives about the rooms: clean (daily housekeeping service), very comfy beds, washing machine and dryer, kitchen seemed well-equipped (we didn't do any cooking), lots of storage space and hangers, room safe, desk with stationery...lots of lovely thoughtful details. We also really appreciated the little welcome hamper on arrival with some little snacks :)
The rooms are very tired and in need of renovation so overall it was a disappointment. There is a huge issue with damp and smells, we saw lots of plug-in air purifiers/dehumidifiers in use. Our first room (2-bed aptmt) was lovely except the en suite bathroom had a horrible drain/sewerage smell, we had to close and block the door to avoid the smell escaping. Reception staff were able to move us to an alternative room the next day (also 2-bed aptmt), the bathrooms smelled fine in the new room but the living room/kitchen had a strong smell (possibly from cooking?) that we just couldn't get rid of.

the room 304 - 19th floor was stinky in the parental bathroom. So we changed for the 302 - 22nd floor which was more confortable, but after 1 days, the bathroom became stinky too, it smelled like the sewer system. We also had bad experience with the crew member at the reception: he misguided my family and I to the bus station for Melaka, btw he was the one who put us in the room 304 - 19th floor. The elevator is slow and makes suspect noise near the 21st floor, and since there is only one elevator; it took at least 5 min for it to arrive

Unfortunately, the swimming pool and facilities of the PARKROYAL were under construction during our stay. With these new facilities soon to come, I would say 10 points! Shower / bath tub needs renovation.

Bizarrely fire alarm was triggered twice during my stay but was promptly corrected as a false alarm. One elevator is not enough. Pro tip: use the other elevators (you can go down but not up) they will bring you next to the 7-11

There was cockroaches on the room almost every day. The drain for the bath/shower didnt work properly which regularly lead to near flooding. The wifi only works in your room The pool was closed (not advised when booking) and whilst there was the opportunity to use the pool at the hotel next door, this would be inconvenient and would not have booked the hotel if this was previously advised
