Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

HungaryAlthough the apartment seems spacious at first glance, it is not practical for 4 people and it feels crowded. Also some of the furniture is not durable and does not function right. The aircondition cannot cool down the whole apartment, the bedroom stayed warm and when opening the window you heard the neighbors’ huge air condition the whole night. Also the apartment has no view; overlooking air conditions on both sides.
The apartment is about good looks. It’s chic, in an old building close to the city center, yet far enough to be quiet. It was clean and stylish. Hosts were very nice.

United KingdomAircon was noisy and there is only one unit in the apartment. Luckily it was in the hall opposite the bedroom door, so we slept with the door open. We also think that the noise of the aircon helped blank out the noise from below restaurants. The restaurant closes quite late, and plays music. It is also open very early for breakfast. So despite the windows and the aircon we were woken by chair scraping late in the evening and early in the morning as the team got ready to close up/open up.
Location. Just on the edge of the pedestrian zone for this beautiful city. With eateries nearby. Welcome and Customer Service. Dianja was very responsive and helpful. In addition to her warm greeting, there was an issue and it was resolved as quickly as possible and she minimised the impact on us. We could not have asked for more. General Comfort. We were able to feel at home. Double windows. This did a good job of keeping out the noise from restaurants below. Bathroom. Great shower and plenty of hot water.

RomaniaYou have to meet with the owner in order to get the key and we had to wait for quite a while. It would be much easier if there would be a lock at the front door.

Bosnia and HerzegovinaI wish it wasn't that expensive but we understand it since it was in the center of Ljubljana.
Everything was clean and cozy. Really good location. We could see the remains of Roman empire. Love that it was above Cafe ,,Le petite" which created even more beautiful ambience in the morning while waking up; people quitley talking, smell of coffee and breakfast coming from it and relaxing jazz as a cherry at the top. It felt just like in a movie.

Very good position, closed to the city center. The apartment was very cean and good equipped, super for a family of 4. The parking Nuk 2 is closed and not so expensive (about 20 € per day). The café downstairs is good for breakfast or for a drink. The host Ms Dijana is kind uno and available in case of needs.

GreeceOnly minus was that at our last day there was not a lot of warm water.
We received the keys in front of the apartment at the arranged hour. Location was perfect, really close to everything and just downstairs there's a little cafe for your morning coffee and breakfast.

SlovakiaApartment is little bit dark and when is it used by bigger family/group, you are basically sleeping all together in one room (separated by the curtain only) and the only room with the door needed to be open as well because of one air condition unit located in the hall. Moreover the air condition was making some rattling noises so to sleep the earplugs are needed.
Tho location is excellent and the apartment is really spacious. and clean. It is located in the older building on the first floor and easily accessible from the street. City parking is really close (50m) and not very expensive, we have paid circa 15 euros for overnight less than 24h parking.

United StatesThe well lit public parking lot next to apartment is expensive, $18 euro per day. I spend $125 euro to park all week. The lot is always full and you will have wait at times up to 20 minutes for a spot to open up. My only complaint but I realize you will have to spend money on Holiday.
Location perfect for walking the safe city to the canals and old town. It’s the cafe downstairs awesome way to start each day. Clean bathroom. Comfy bed no trouble sleeping for a weary traveler. The tap water is best in the world. Natural lighting, cozy, quiet. Safe for solo travelers.

FranceWhile the apartment was suitable to sleep 5 persons, only one bathroom with the toilet inside is a little short. It was very humid in the apartment as well. It’s a little bit expensive for the quality

ItalyI have nothing bad to say about the experience. It was a great stay for my family!
The owner was waiting for us at the entrace and was very approachable and personable. He told us a bit about the city and some of the events going on (Burger and Beer Festival that evening was great). He made sure that we were comfortable, but didn't stay long. The apartment was comfortable and incredibly well located. It was easy walking distance to the city center and a less than five minute walk to parking (it is a paid lot). The "Le Petit Cafe" is in the same building and a minute from the door. The food and service were wonderful. Ljubljana was a wonderful city and we hope to return soon.
