Very spacious room for two. They don’t have an AC , but they have provided a fan which has made our night much comfortable. It’s quite near the bus station which we took to get ourselves to lake bled for an early morning hike and stroll.

The closets had no clothing hangers, and there's not that many toilets for the number of guests. Other than that it's a wonderful place and we would stay again!

Friendly staff that would help us with anything we needed. The location is great, in the old city center and near a car park across the bridge. Nice common area, although we did not use this. Our room was spacious enough and clean.

We didn't take note of the handwritten external door code on the check-in form and after returning from dinner (just after 9pm I think) the front door was locked with no way to contact the owner to ask for the code. In future, a reminder to take a photo of the code would help. Or having the ability to use WhatsApp in emergencies.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The actual name is Cukrarna Hostel (and it is a hostel) but it is lovely and the room was large and had everything we needed, in a great location.

There was no outlet located near my bed so I had to hang out in the common areas before going to sleep and when I woke up in order to make sure my phone was charged for the day (a good idea would probably be to use extension cords so there could be a plug by each bed). As far as I could tell, there was: 1 unisex toilet and 2 showers on the top floor, 2 unisex toilets and 1 shower on the first floor, and 1 male toilet and 1 female toilet on the ground floor. While the showers seemed to be a sufficient number, the bathrooms did not seem to be and you had to try multiple floors and often wait to use one. That said, for the price of the stay, it was worth it.

Location is ideal in the old town and only a 5-min walk to Kranj Globus station and about 10-min walk to Kranj AP station. Staff were super friendly and helpful, allowed me to store my bag when I arrived before check-in, and remembered my name each time they saw me. The wifi in the place worked great. The bed was comfortable and the bed was already made for me, plus a towel was free. The locker keys are also free and the lockers are a really good size, sufficient to storage large luggage. The bathrooms and especially the showers were very clean. There's a kitchen with a large fridge and freezer to store things, a kettle with tea and instant coffee, a hot plate and pans to cook with, a microwave, and plenty of cutlery and plates. There are also plenty of common areas (indoor and outdoor) to hang out in and talk to other travelers. And security is decent--you need a code to enter the property at night. A great deal for the affordable price I paid.

In the Guesthouse there was a good atmosphere, the structure has been thought for travellers and their comfort. The position is perfect and the staff really kind.

Would be good to have a table in the room. We haven't had it. And usually in hostels there are free tea/coffee in the kitchen and shampoo in the shower, but here there are not, so would be good to have it also.

Nothing really. They do a cleaning process mid afternoon for 3 hours so if you are arriving around then, you need to be aware of this, else you will have to wait.

Room gets very hot in the morning due to lack of blinds or blackout curtains (sun hits the window very early). Pillow was very thin, not comfortable enough for good night sleep.

Big room, comfortable bed, new bathroom, great location - in the city center, but in a quiet street. Very close to caffe, bakery, town center and parking (hostel is in the pedestrian zone). We liked online check-in and possibility to have double room with bathroom.

The kitchen space could be monitored a bit more frequently, considering not all guests respect hostel etiquette in regards to cleaning up/washing dishes after using them.

Loved the view and the size of our room, it was truly a wonderful stay. The hostel is in the perfect location for exploring Kranj and its beautiful surroundings.

Location was perfect, right in the old town. The room itself was very spacious and nice and clean. The shared bathrooms were also perfectly fine. There were enough, we didn't have to wait, and they were clean. We were here only for a short night, but the vibe and atmosphere are nice!

The only downside is the noise outside the window. Despite the fact that the hostel is located on a narrow street, we heard the sounds of passing mopeds and cars all night. There is a kettle in the room, but this is not enough, I would like to have a refrigerator or at least a shared kitchen. Also be prepared to pay a tourist tax, since the price on the website, as it turned out, was without tax, and we had to pay a little more.

The overall impression of the hostel was positive. The girl at the reception was very kind and answered all our questions. Despite the fact that the bathroom is shared by all rooms, it was quite clean, which is a big plus. The rooms were also clean. It is also possible to wash clothes for an additional fee.

The only thing I can think of is that it was a surprise the hostel is completely closed if you arrive before check-in time, so if you're planning to arrive early and leave your bag you should discuss this with staff or call!

Wonderful modern hostel in the centre of Kranj which is a lovely little town as well. Great value for money, so much better than what I've experienced in Ljubljana. The hangout area has an amazing view and comfiest hanging chairs :) There's a well-equipped kitchen, and rooms/bathrooms are clean and modern too. It shows this place is run with lots of love by the whole family. Will definitely stay again!
