The rooms were so hot! They are quite small and only have a tiny window. I did not notice the fan until 4am after having little sleep until that point! Don’t be stupid like me and not notice the fan on the top shelf!!! Towels were not included and you had to pay. Only one toilet and shower for women between about 5 rooms? It was manageable

The location is amazing right at the foot of the cable car so ideal spot after a day up the mountain. The space is perfect if you have kids you can relax and eat and drink whilst they play on the swings, sandpit and mess about. My daughter made friends and had a wonderful time! Food was good!

The place is supposed to be a low-key hostel/camping place, but the prices do not correspond to this - it is a bit too expensive. Of course, there is a demand and people will pay, but it is still too pricy. Breakfast is €28 for 2ppl, which is A LOT, given there is no other place to eat (it is a very good breakfast though). On the campsite, there seem to be too many people, not enough toilets and showers. There was no hot water. These things did not bother us as we were there for 1 night and it was more of an experience, but yeah, can be problematic/annoying especially when travelling with kids. Still, we loved it and will definitely be back when travelling to Slovenia!

This is a really magical place, amazing vibe, beautiful location. The restaurant serves really really good food, so I would recommend eating there. Very nice people work there, with the main host lady definitely being "a character" :) sometimes things get a bit disorganized but it is mostly because there are too many people and it is difficult to handle.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Guest House Kraljev is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of the Slovenian Alps. The location is unbeatable—just steps away from the cable car to Velika Planina, making it a perfect base for hiking and exploring nature. The room was cozy, spotless, and surprisingly comfortable despite its compact size. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and the homemade meals at the restaurant were a delicious reward after a day of adventure. Bonus points for being family-friendly, with a lovely garden that kids will adore. A place full of charm and character—we’ll definitely be coming back!

As mentioned, the rooms were not massive, but it was what we expected and we were not dissapointed, so nothing to note here.

The property is absolutely excellent if you want to explore Velika Planina. It's, literally, below the cable car that takes you there. It's a mixture of campsite (if you have your own vehicle or tent), hotel and hostel. We stayed in the "hostel" part so rooms are a bit tighter in size and there is a shared bathroom (and you rent the towel, just for the record) but it's comfortable and convenient (if you're very tall, watch out, as the roof is slanted). The owners were beyond kind and accommodating. They helped us in everything, were extremely helpful with the food choices (the restaurant is superb and us, being veggies, had a great array of options for dinner). Eveyone is exceedingly nice and gentle, so we truly felt at home. We live in UAE and, as they saw we were coming from Middle East, they even left a message in Arabic to welcome us (we found this very sweet). We only wished we had stayed longer. It was awesome!

Both spaces private and shared were clean and very nice. Not a typical hiking accommodation:) There is even a restaurant with very tasty meals.

Amazing location, atmosphere, food, service, and offer of entertainment. A very cosy and beautiful stay. I can not recommend this place enough. A great location for a trip to the Kamniška Bistrica river source, and for a day hike to Velika planina. The food was amazing and all the guests were happy and calm. I am definitely coming back!

Kraljev Hrib is the most beautiful place with warm and beautiful people! The best spot to enjoy the gorgeous nature, good food, to breathe and relax. We had two small but very cozy rooms with shared bathrooms at the hostel. We were a bit sceptical beforehand as to the shared bathrooms. But they were very clean and we felt very much at home. The hosts do everything to make you feel at home. Special thanks to Miša!!! The area is great to do hikes of all levels of diffculty. We very much recommend this place.

The double room is really very small, which is ok, but for us (traveling with friend) it was a bit too tight. Luckily another room was available after the first night, so we could have a room each, which then was perfect

Very welcoming and funny hosts, with good knowledge of the area. They even left us with a welcome note from our own language. The place gives chill vibes, with hammocks and games like ping pong. They also offers a great variety of foods and drinks.

Our first stay in hostel style accommodation and it was absolutely first rate. The location was perfect so close to the cable car. The setting is idyllic with different areas to sit and admire the views. The lady that was running the place was quirky and friendly we loved her Sensei of humour. The food was delicious and the breakfast was well worth it.

Such a cozy, welcoming place in an amazing location. A very friendly and warm atmosphere, great breakfast and taking care you can pack some of it for a hiking snack, tiny but cozy room with a skylight window with a view, tasty dinner and a peaceful terrace / yard with so much to look at. Very strongly recommend!

It was still winter, so we could smell the chimney smoke. It was warm, but I had a slight breathing problem (I'm allergic). My other friend was fine though.

I will definitely come back. Very nice location, parking, nice personnel. Overall nice and cozy mountain experience. This looks like the best place to have friends trip, as there are multiple rooms.

The location and the views are astonishing. The staff(Miša) is excellent. She told us so much about the history of the place and we had some great chit chat! Very welcoming and warm environment. The food was also excellent and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Recommended!

Nothing. It was very much according to our expectations and the price we paid.

The host was wonderful, helped us a lot and gave wonderful tips and explanations. The food at the restaurant was great as well. The room is indeed modest but you get what you paid for. The shared showers and bathrooms were clean and convenient. Great for a short stay in the area.
