It is a cosy hotel in the middle of forest very clean. Comfortable place, with very friendly staff. Kids loved the place they enjoyed exploring the forest and running around.

The hotel is located in Rakov, outside of Postojna, so it is not near other businesses. It is quite remote. The facilities are simple, but the owner was very helpful at locking our bikes inside overnight! And charging the e-bikes.

It was confusing what amenities are an extra charge and how much they are, since they are not listed anywhere. The sauna and breakfast are extra; not included with the room. The shower temperature changed a lot.

The warm welcoming, the hospitality, the generosity, the laughs and a service that goes beyond what you would/could expect.

That we can't stay there again on our way back...

The location inside the forest is amazing. There are some beautiful caves just minutes away by car or by foot. To be honest, we read a lot of bad reviews about this place. Quoting Forrest Gump, Hotel Rakov Skocjan seems to be like a box of chocolates. Everyone gets a unique experience, you just never know which one. We also arrived in the dark, but the main entrance on the other side than the parking was open. There was a room key there with my name on a piece of paper. There was no one, probably not even other guests!? Surreal, cool, adventure but yes, don't expect guaranteed breakfast bufets, lavish dinners and smiling hosts when you arrive. You might get them, just don't assume you will (for now).

The hotel could manage expectations better by not offering breakfast on Booking. There is nothing you can eat otherwise Also they could automatically send instructions on how to enter the building when no one is there at reception anymore. I think clarity towards guests can really help a place like this get better, one step at a time.

Nice place in Slovenian wilderness! Recommended for nature tourism!

The location is perfect for anyone wanting to escape the city and enjoy the nature. The stuff is super kind, rooms comfortable with nice balcony.

It is more like a hut, less like a hotel.

The smell of cigarettes in the room was very strong no matter for how long we left all windows open. It was not very clean as well.

The service is great and the style is unique and the surrounding is simply awesome. I love Zuza, the Barkeeper woman. Kisses for her:)

For me everything was right, all negative comments just refer to personal prefetences. Maybe you will be disappointed if you are strictly vegan and/ or used to postmodern habits... Ok
