Very charming building with a beautiful inner courtyard for relaxation and parking for our motorcycle. Everything was very attentive to detail (nice furniture, vases of flowers and relaxing music in the common areas). The room was very large, elegant, comfortable, clean and quiet. The welcome was warm and both the staff and the owner were extremely kind, discreet and hospitable. Thank you very much for the tips for tourism in Slovenia. The breakfast was excellent with variety, local products, eggs, warm bread etc., served with care in a nice room with nice music.

Kostanjevica na Krki and B and B Castanea are gems of Slovenia. The island village is idyllic, Castanea is spotlessly beautiful situated in a very old building; and the nearby museum specializing in Slovenian artists is a treasure that must be visited. Castanea’s hosts are kind, generous, knowledgeable, and helpful. These are all reasons I’ve visited 3 times while bike touring.

Absolut beautiful house in the middle of an extraordinary city which is located on an island surrounded by a river. The rooms are large and very bright, the surrounding very quiet and the interior is choosen with love. The people are friendly and the breakfast is tasty. The staff were really helpful given we didn't check in until after 10pm. The location was beautiful, idylic, quiet but with good access to road networks. The property was decorated and maintained to an excellent standard. The rooms were exceptionally clean and spacious. Breakfast was lovely with a mix of fruit, breads, ham and cheese (including the offer of English tea) Amazing stay...a real gem of a place and special find! 😁😁

A beautiful and upkept historical building turned bed and breakfast. The owners are amazing hosts, always ready to help and accomodate their guests with anything and everything. The rooms are very clean, comfortable and spacious. The highlight of our stay was the breakfast - various fruits, freshly baked bread, local meats and cheeses, yoghurts and much more. We can't wait to return.

Can’t find anything that we didn’t like! Maybe some more lights are needed from the parking entrance since when we were coming back from the restaurant it was quite dark.

This is one of the best B&B we have been with my wife! Cleanliness and attention to detail is really something that you can’t mix! We love the place and we will definitely find a way to go back there! The owner directed us to a restaurant where again we were blown away by the food, the quality and the professionalism of the staff! Amazing discovery!

If I have to say something, maybe the bed was a bit soft. But I still had a great sleep.

Everything was perfect. The owners are extra welcoming and the place is very clean. I could leave my bike in the inner courtyard. The breakfast is excellent, with lot of food, some of which locally produced and fresh. The jams are super tasty!

A great little B&B on a small island on the river Krka. Large but cozy room, very clean and inviting. Location is really good (if you're looking for a rather small, peaceful place), highway is nearby as well. Secure parking is located in the backyard, no issues there. Breakfast was very decent, the owner cordial and helpful. I will definitely return.
