Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandWasting water to get it warm. Mind you, the building's plumbing and pipes are probably older.
The location is absolutely unbeatable. Everything is within a few minutes' walk. Nice breakfast choices, room is good-sized. Bed was a little soft for my taste, but I still slept well. Not too loud, though there was a noticeable uptick in noise on the weekend. Showers take a LONG time to warm up. I ended up with a few cool showers as I didn't like seeing that much water run off to get it warm. Friendly staff. Overall nice experience.

SlovakiaBathroom need some refurbishment, in room 214(fresh paint, rusty radiator exchange) If you need a room with a view, I don't recommend rooms 213 and 214 as windows from these rooms are facing the inner corridor (a bit noisy as other gueasts are passing by)
Location is excellent, direct on the main street/pedestrian zone, staff very helpfull, very good breakfast

United KingdomNothing
Everything. Our first visit to Kosice so booked this hotel after a bit of research and we weren't disappointed. About €8 in a Bolt from the airport. The hotel is right on the main street, which is pedestrianised, so as central as you can be. The staff were all extremely friendly and professional. Our room was great, plenty big enough, spotlessly clean and with aircon. The bed was excellent and very comfy. Although in the centre of town it is very quiet. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. One day they had a run out of a few things but we were there about 30 mins from finish. If your staying here book the spa, it's fantastic. It's €30 but you get your own private spa for 90 minutes. It has a jacuzzi, sauna, heated relaxing chairs and is a lot bigger than it looks in the pictures. Nice bar too. Didn't eat in the restaurant so can't comment. I would definitely stay here again.

United KingdomWe were there for New Year’s Eve so were slightly disappointed that the hotel didn’t have any evening meal provisions for guests…even a buffet would have been nice. Since I had already contacted the hotel beforehand we were aware of this so called at the Lidl which was nearby for some snacks. We didn’t manage to find a local bar / restaurant that was open either to be able to book into so also helped ourselves to a couple of bread rolls from breakfast which we stored in the fridge in the room. Not a deal breaker and was part of the adventure but might not have suited other travellers. The only other drawback was the coffee in the room…sachets of 3-in-1. I don’t take sweetener so find these too sweet. There are independent coffee shops everywhere so it was a shame that coffee bags or similar weren’t available instead. My only other observation was the skylight, it’s a shame that blackout blinds couldn’t have been fitted into the window recess rather than the long curtains. My husband had to stand on the bed to draw the curtains, which were not that effective at blocking out the light.
Usual continental breakfast - we were also offered a breakfast pack for the airport due to an early return flight but luckily service started at 7 a.m. so didn’t need to take advantage of that. Spa facilities was a nice treat, we had exclusive use for 90 minutes at a cost of €30 which was very reasonable, it included robes and fresh iced / fruit water. Hotel was spotless and ideally located for the old city centre. Although I have given some criticisms I feel that the overall experience was very nice.

UkraineAt night it is difficult to find the entrance to the parking lot, since the entrance is from another street and the manager did not consider it necessary to explain it well. At night, after a long journey, we circled around the hotel several times.

Ukraine1. I knew I booked two separate beds, but I did not know they were in the mezzanine, and lined up one by one. 2. Because it was in the mezzanine, the room had widows in the ceiling. 3. The night temperature outside was close to zero C. Because the room had windows in the ceiling, with cloth curtains, and just above the beds, there was a draft of cold air from the windows, and quite cold in the room. I had to put the air conditioner to the maximum to warm up and change my pillow direction by 180 to avoid drafting cold air onto my face at night.
The room was good, but that was the last room available at Booking.com with short notice.

AustraliaThe curtains need to be blackout as the street light right outside our room lit up the room. The room and bathroom decor is a little dated. The shower head attachment was broken but fixed quickly however it was still too low. There was no sink plug so shaving was difficult. Typical of this part of Europe there are no english channels on the TV and no streaming services. More pillow options are needed as the pillows were a bit high. There is no internet in the breakfast room so my morning news read over a breakfast coffee was compromised. The eggs at breakfast were a bit shriveled and there was a lack of fresh fruit. We enjoyed the daily menu at the hotel restaurant but it was not available on the Friday night and the remainder options did not suit.
Excellent location in the old town with perfect parking behind the hotel at a reasonable price. Staff were very helpful and attentive. We received 10% discount on food and beverages at the hotel restaurant and the food was good quality at a reasonable price. Good heating and cooling systems. The room lighting was very good and easy to use. The room had a big bathroom with excellent water pressure. The internet was fast and reliable in the room but didn't exist in the breakfast area. Mini bar was at reasonable prices. The cleaners managed to clean our room while we were at breakfast most days which we find delightful.
