We stayed for one night while passing through. Although we arrived very late, there were no issues with check in. There is parking. The room was very spacious, clean and tidy. Good location.

It's a very old hotel, but it's clean. It's not a big deal, but it gets hot in the summer. I rented a fan. There were no screens on the windows, but since I was on the sixth floor, no mosquitoes got in. I was allowed to store my bicycle in the garage.

The stuff was doing their best to help with anything. They gave me a dedicated place for my motorcycle in the garage.

Its old hotel but room was nice and clean. People in reception and in restaurant were very nice and helpful.

Breakfast were totally not worth the money, it wasnt bad but for 10€ breakfest I expect something more than beans from can.

I’m honestly not quite sure what to say about Hotel Bothe — my experience was very mixed. I know this hotel dates back to the socialist era, and at that time, it was probably considered a very good establishment: large rooms, spacious lounges on each floor, and a main lounge at the reception area. There is clearly a large restaurant on the first floor with a terrace, but it appears to have been out of use for quite a long time. From the main street, a wide staircase leads up to the first floor — it must have once been the main entrance to the restaurant — but it is now closed off with a metal fence. I’m fairly certain the original reception used to be located at the prominent corner near these staircases. That part of the ground floor is now rented (or perhaps sold) to a bank. The current “reception” entrance appears to be what was once a service entrance used by employees during the hotel’s better days. Still, there is always someone at the desk, ready to assist. Breakfast is available, but we didn’t try it, as we usually don’t eat in the morning. On the positive side: The receptionists are very kind, though most of them do not speak English or German. The rooms are spacious, with nice furniture, comfortable beds, high ceilings, and renovated bathrooms. We were also given free garage space for our motorcycles, which we greatly appreciated. All guest rooms are located on the 6th or 7th floor, and there is an old but functional elevator

On the downside: We genuinely expected the hotel to have a working restaurant. For us, a restaurant means the convenience of a morning coffee, lunch, or dinner without having to search the city for food. If there’s no restaurant, one would at least expect a kettle in the room to make an instant coffee. Another big drawback (which may not matter to everyone, but was important for us) is that there is absolutely no option to smoke anywhere inside. The only way is to take the lift down seven floors, ask the receptionist to unlock the main doors, and smoke on the street. I understand that during the socialist period, smoking was likely allowed everywhere, so the hotel was not built with balconies or terraces. The old restaurant probably even had a smoking section. Perhaps, just perhaps, a small part of the restaurant’s terrace on the first floor could be reopened as a designated smoking area.

Smiley and helpful staff. And room was nice.

Top floor rooms could do with a fan or some kind of cooler in summer times.

Large and clean rooms, the bathrooms well equiped. Good location, few steps to the centre of the city.

The place is little bit noisy if you want to let the windows open. at night.

Beds are comfy, staff was very nice, clean bathroom and room. We stayed in the hotel before with kid and all was good. It was quite in the room and we didn't hear much noise from the hall, even hotel was probably fully booked.

It was hot in the top apartment, but we asked for fan at reception and it was much better and cooler then, but it was over 30deg outside in June.

Great accommodation, easy to find, easy to get into building, and staff were a phonecall away via booking.com (manned 24/7 but briefly time for staff to pop upstairs). Friendly staff, very kind and helpful, and a welcoming smile. Lift up works well. Room is actually lovely and better than expected. Superb view! Comfortable beds. Nice shower. Breakfast was super. Juice, coffee, bread and jam/butter, and then a choice of various savory or sweet (we had French toast with fruit), for 7.50 euros, book the night before. Worth having. Helpful recommendations for nice restaurant nearby. There's also a lidl and little stall outside with bakery goods. Bag storage also available which was great. Many thanks
