Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IsraelGood value for money. Has great kind of lobby with Billiard table and bowling. Too bad it is closed on 21.00. It could be a great fun to spend the evening there.

SlovakiaGood environment,I like this environment very much, it has a classic and textured feel. The staff were also very nice. My boyfriend told me that I was sleeping at the room and he was drinking at the bar . A lady invited him for a drink .The waiter helped him by saying that he already had a girlfriend.🤣🤣

United KingdomHowever, the photos on Booking.com have not been updated for several years The gardens are in real disrepair, as its the building , the pool has not been used for many years and it’s certainly not anything like the photos. If you go for the history and very rustic charm and you take it as you find it, you will enjoy especially the breakfast which was incredibly good. However, it needs serious renovation , and you cannot rely on the photograph as you would be disappointed anc check in guy was miserable
I don’t want to leave a bad review at all for this Hotel has actually for the money we paid the Location, the size of the room and the man at breakfast were very nice. They have a bowling alley in the Reception, a pool table and Football which was an added bonus for the kids. The room is exactly as shown really large and comfortable.

SlovakiaIn my case Wi-Fi was not working but it was most likely caused by technical problem on the my side.
Rooms are quite big and spacious including bathroom. Breakfast very rich and good. Owner very flexible and open to satisfy the needs of clients. Good position in Komarno - close to city center and bridge to Komarom.

United KingdomThe pool looks much bigger in the photos than it really is!
I loved this quirky hotel with all its greenery and individuality. There are not many hotels which have a bowling alley in their foyer! The rooms were all very individual, mostly at ground floor level, and spread about a series of buildings. Breakfast was good value for money and the proprietor was friendly and helpful.

It was very well located if you are cycling the route 6 (Vienna to Budapest). There is a garage for the bikes. All the greenery make it wonderfully and cool. There is a small pool which the kids loved. It is a short walk to the old town. The air conditioning was so welcome we all slept like babies!

SlovakiaThe hotel could do with some maintenance. I don’t mind things not being new, but quite a few things were the state of disrepair and would just need a little bit of love and care.
The location was great, beds were comfortable, rooms were big and clean. I loved the greenery all around.

GermanyIt is not a 4-5 star hotel, but we got what we expected.
I don't really understand the bad reviews. The hotel is indeed simple, but for its price, it is very good. We had the suite, which was big and comfortable. The people working in the hotel are nice. The breakfast is OK. The rooms have cheaper furniture, which looks noble. We felt ourselves well and we come back again, if we are around and want to save on accommodation.

Abkhazia, GeorgiaThe rooms are made of cheaper material, lots of (good looking) plastic parts. The entrance for cars is pretty tight, take care if you're not a good driver. There isn't a restaurant, they only serve drinks.
The whole place has this chaotic old vibe, which I loved. The gardens are very pretty and there is a bowling alley (although I didn't use it). The price-value factor is very good for this place. Ideal for a cheaper more random escape with your partner. They have parking inside.

GermanyThe bathroom with its high ceiling and shower cabin was not as comfortable and relaxing as the other bathrooms shown in the picture gallery.
The 2 bedrooms are spacious and feature everything a family needs for a few nights. The somehow kitschy furnitures are adding to the enchanted castle ambient, but need a bit repair sometimes. The bowling lanes offer a nice evening pastime. The neighbouring gym (in the former synagogue) can be used for free by showing the hotel card. The optional breakfast is worth its price and can be taken sitting outside in a green garden. Just don't be fooled by the pool picture - it's not for swimming ;-) The hotel is just 5 minutes walk away from the town center with a pedestrian precinct, restaurants, bike rentals and sights like the Europa Square and the Fortress.

SpainPlace needs maintenance: touch up paint on the radiators, bathrooms. Doorknobs fixed. Breakfast ok. But realistically can't ask for more for 6 euros.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Full entertainment for teenagers: bowling alley, giant fitness center next door, pool. Courtyard makes it easy to mix with fellow travellers. The place is such a knock out. An old monastery with its own bowling alley in the nave and the coolest of salons. Plus a bombproof bunker many meters underneath the bowling alley. The place is so singular it makes up for minor shortcomings.
