How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Very spacious, rooms were huge. Clean and with everything we needed for a short stay. Location is fantastic, a short walk into the old town. Good communication from host about how to get in and a bonus parking spot. Nice little cafes very close by.

Perfect location Parking was easy and yet it was only a very short walk right into the middle of the old town. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were nice.

The accommodation was just right for our needs, and the parking space in the indoor garage was an important feature for us. The apartment was clean and spacious.

We liked everything, the only downside was we didn’t have a washing machine which can be needed for the longer stays.
Very comfortable apartment near the city centre and walking distance to Bratislava castle. Two separate rooms were perfect for the stay with our toddler and self heated rooms were perfect for the cooler weather when we arrived. Private parking was the perfect addition to our stay in Bratislava. Definitely recommend and we would love to come back again.

Good location, walkable to the old town and all the sights. Parking is in the garage which is a bit narrow, might be difficult for bigger than average cars. Apartment is comfortable and clean

The apartment has several good points, including apartment is quiet, clean, new and beautiful, having free car parking space, location is convenient, room spaces are big, the kitchen supplies are sufficient and new, shower water is strong enough, the heater is very enough, and having elevator.

This was a light well appointed apartment, close to the old town. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and the host was very accommodating when we wanted to check out a little later. I would highly recommend it, the bonus was safe underground parking.

An excellent 2 bedroom apartment just under the walls of Bratislava castle. Walking distance to anywhere around the city. Apartment is very spacious and comfortable. Easy to communicate with the host on WhatsUp. Highly recommended. Undercover parking available.

Dining/kitchen had no natural light, all windows in the bedrooms, so sitting together (all four of us, was a challenge). Honestly, not a big deal because abuse we enjoyed being in the city.
Great location and big rooms. Easy checkin and out. Totally clean and comfortable.

We recently stayed at the Castle wall apartment in Bratislava. The location is superb, within walking distance of Bratislava Castle, the Old Town, and the Danube River. Apartment was clean and well-maintained. The kitchen was well equipped with all you need. The host was very kind and friendly. Overall, Castle Wall offers excellent value for money and a comfortable base for exploring Bratislava. I would highly recommend it.

Dust in the toilet room should be removed.
Perfect place of apartment - 5-7 minutes from main Hrad. There is a lot of space in the apartment. Free tea and coffee. Openness and helpness of owners - we have arrived by 2 cars, and the garage under the apartment has only one place, but owners provide us another parking place at their own garage. Cat's cafe near the apartment has become the biggest impression for children.
