How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewEXCELLENT INTERNET! For sure one can work from there, the speed is great for work & video calls. Absolutely pet friendly. Great communication with the host. The house itself is AMAZING, we were even thinking about extending our stay 😁 It’s very well equipped, especially the kitchen - you could find everything you need and even more, I really felt like at home. The fireplace makes the whole atmosphere pretty charming, while there’s central heating still available (we travelled during late April - early May and it was still on). The outdoor seating area with a grill is comfy as well, we used it daily, as well as the deck with a great view of the mountains. The other properties are located quite at a distance which is a plus too, however there’s a bit less trees now comparing to the property photos (was not an issue for me since the mountains visibility is better). For those who likes hiking there’re trails close to the property, as well as the river for dogs who like to bath. Having one of the three bathrooms on the ground floor is very convenient especially if you have a dog with you 😉 The stairs have a special non-slippery cover and no holes in between which is good for pets or kids. For kids there’s also a special corner with toys, drawing stuff and most likely table games (don’t remember it correctly if there were any for children, for sure a few for adults).
A temporary issue - there’s some construction work in the area as they’re building new chalets so might be noisy from time to time. For those who travel with pets (mostly dogs) - mind that the outside stairs are not really comfy for paws (we used the entrance to the deck instead to let the dog out), as well as the small stones which cover the parking area. Such kind of stairs (metallic with holes) are pretty common for local restaurants and other venues too as this is a ski resort. Also mind that there are no nearby shops so plan your shopping in advance. Tip - do not forget your hairdryer and toiletries 🙃

Verified reviewThe cottage is designed and furnished with great taste and attention to detail. I asked the owner if he is a specialist in interior design or if it is just a hobby. I really appreciated the design of the living room, with the fireplace and the bookshelf (the first time we see books in rental locations), the very well-equipped kitchen where absolutely nothing was missing. Also, outside it has a terrace with furniture and two barbecue places, one covered with a place to eat. I used them every day. But...
The big problem is the location of the cottage, how the forest looks NOW. The main photo shows you a cottage in the middle of the forest. In reality, the cottage is surrounded by woods on only two sides. In the back, the forest is cut down and looks desolate with tree stumps 1 meter high. On the right side, in place of the forest, other cottages have sprung up, some of them under construction during the time I stayed there. Workers worked around the clock, including Sunday. Instead of the sounds of birds, we had the noise of stone grinder and chainsaw. EVERY DAY. Surely, from now on, this place will be a construction site for many other cottages for a long time. When I asked the owner when the deforestation happened, he answered that it was three years ago. I asked him why he didn't update the photo of the property. He answered me with a soft smile from which I understood that he did not consider that he had done something wrong. I consider it a SCAM for those looking for a cottage in the middle of nature, a scam for which Booking is also responsible.

Verified reviewA wonderful place to spend time with friends or family. The owner is very helpful, you can find everything you need in the house. Close to the ski slopes, but at the same time a very quiet place. The fireplace in the house gives a special feeling of coziness.

Location is great, just on the edge of the forest with many different walking path and the river with waterfalls nearby. The host Jan is amazing and really helpful!
The coffee machine had strange capsules that we couldn't get anywhere :)
