We did lose power which took us some time to find someone to help as there was not a 24 hour reception or security

The room was in the old section of the building, was large and had old world charm.

The historical environment. The decor, furniture and artefacts all in keeping with its history . A very unique place to stay. The bar and restaurant staff were so friendly and helpful. A short drive from our hotel to the lakes and spectacular scenery.

There was no shower in the bathroom, you had to stand up in the claw bathtub with a hand shower. Not everyone’s cup of tea but probably in the spirit of the period. Better to settle for a bath.

Beautifully restored manor house adjoining a castle. We had a suite which was very spacious, three rooms with bathroom. There was a small kitchen setup with a sink and kettle in the first room, a lounge room and a huge bedroom with desk. The bed was very comfy. The place is beautifully decorated with period pieces and antiques. Wifi was very good, surprisingly considering the thick walls. We really enjoyed our stay.

Well standard check in time till 18:00 in 4* hotel is domething we really did not expect

It is really an amazing experience to spend fee nights in the real castle… although staff refusef to tell us scary stories before bedtime.

Beautiful location, Castle and facilities nicely restored and decorated. Friendly reception. Guests may look around everywhere. Plenty of parking space

It felt like the hotel was understaffed, in the wellness we had to operate the sauna and jacuzzi ourselves, the bar had a small variety of drinks (just two wines red and white and one kind of beer a bit overpriced). At breakfast we came 30 min after opening and a lot of things were empty, we had to ask specifically to make more for us. We didn't get silverware, had to get it my self. Overall had an interesting experience, and pleasant time.

We had a great time at the castle, it was a magical stay, a taste of the past. The complex it self was interesting and the reception advised us to go and explore the place, and we did, enjoyed it. The was big, very clean, very comfortable bed, the shower was nice supplied with shower gel shampoo bathrobes etc. Good and tasty breakfast.

Spa was not open in the mornings which was disappointing. Bar closed before 9pm which was also a miss for me.

Missed opportunities. the bed is extremely uncomfortable an investment in a proper mattress wouldn’t go a miss. The bath is beautiful but really you need to have a proper shower we booked the hotel as a rest-bite of driving take a day read our books. the corridors are stone cold there is no lounge. the bar is not pleasant. loud music poor decor and table cloths that trying to fit in with a “castle” are dark and dingy. Breakfast reminded me of a petit-dejunee in a 2 star hotel in France in the 1990. food was not memorable the courtyard outside the bar must be nice in the summer

the wellness area is excellent features of the castle are lovely Man in charge of the restaurant was pleasant na positive. Receptionist was nice the view the garden

The number of corridors, doors and narrow passages to go from parking lot to the room Breakfast from 8 AM The spa is very little and when we were there, someone from the staff came and started cleaning the floor using some powerful cleaning agent with a sharp smell

The building itself is very impressive The location We wanted to leave before the breakfast so the staff prepared packages for us which was very nice
