AustraliaThe TV was only local channels in the local language and no streaming/casting/apps were available.
The room was a great size and plenty big enough for our two large suitcases. Aircon worked well and the room was relatively soundproof. The staff at Grand Hotel Trencin were absolutely lovely. All Staff accommodation our lack of local language and spoke English. Location was a short walk from the train station and very close to Trencin Castle. Lots of local eateries just one street over. It was a bit rainy during our stay so we booked ourselves into the hotel Wellness Centre and had the most amazing massage by Richard, as well as sauna, salt room, cold plunge and spa.

HungaryI was pleasantly surprised by the high quality given the price. The staff was very friendly, and the room had been recently renovated – it was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. The bathroom was great too! The location is perfect, just a 3-minute walk to the old town. Parking is available about 300 meters away. Yes I must pay for it, but the bike stood locked and safe. Great! The location of the hotel is great, If you're interested to visit the castle. You should give it a try. Upon request, I got the room facing the backyard, because I knew there will be nice view on the castle, as well as it will be more calm, given by the fact that hotel is in the centre, right upon the busy street.

GermanyThe furniture is old and should be renovated. The breakfast is nothing special and for the price of the stay, it should be better. Indeed, the personal at the breakfast area is not so friendly ... no good morning or anything like that. This is not such a big minus. Parking is a bit too expensive.
The staff is very friendly. They have a spa and also offer messages for a reasonable price. The service at the spa was very good. Unfortunately, the spa is pretty loud. Too many people for such a small wellness area. The location is very near to the centre and close to the castle.

United StatesSome maintenance issues required us to park at a garage across the street. Also, since the hotel is near the city center there is a lot of noise from the bars and restaurants. Ear plugs are recommended.
Great proximity to Trencin Castle and the town center with shops, restaurants, and cafes. Great staff. Great breakfast. The location also provided easy access to freeways for day trips outside the city.
