Spacious apartment with a very comfortable bed and a spotless bathroom featuring both a shower and a bathtub. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.

The view from the balcony was disappointing – apart from the distant view of the castle, the rest was a disaster. Breakfast was also of rather low quality with a very limited selection.

BUT!!! There has to be a club or disco, because the noise of base is so huge that at 1230 am i cant sleep because of it.

Nothing to declare.

The room was a great size and plenty big enough for our two large suitcases. Aircon worked well and the room was relatively soundproof. The staff at Grand Hotel Trencin were absolutely lovely. All Staff accommodation our lack of local language and spoke English. Location was a short walk from the train station and very close to Trencin Castle. Lots of local eateries just one street over. It was a bit rainy during our stay so we booked ourselves into the hotel Wellness Centre and had the most amazing massage by Richard, as well as sauna, salt room, cold plunge and spa.

The TV was only local channels in the local language and no streaming/casting/apps were available.

Scrambled eggs were delicious. Location was superb to Old Town and Castle hike. Fish and chips were goid!

Several steps up to our room from the hallway which can be a safety issue for us old people. Also bathtub was slippery for us older folk. Perhaps bath mats?

The Place where the Hotel is located can be good and bad. Nice and helpful personal.

The location is good, nevertheless , you can hear ALL the noise from outside. It was impossible to sleep because of the noise from the bars and people and cars. The windows are broken or extremely cheap because do not cancel the noise AT ALL. It is written that the hotel has 4 stars, but if you see the restaurant where the breakfast is, you will think you are in a pension or motel, so quality-price is absolutely not worthy.

Room was tidy and clean. Very central location. All amenities were in perfect condition.

Wifi did only work in the bathroom. The whirlpool function of the bathtub did not work.

I was pleasantly surprised by the high quality given the price. The staff was very friendly, and the room had been recently renovated – it was clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. The bathroom was great too! The location is perfect, just a 3-minute walk to the old town. Parking is available about 300 meters away. Firendly and engaged staff. Goof breakfast with decent variety of cold or hot meals.

The reception is closed at 10 pm. If you plan to arrive later, it is better to contact hotel. Otherwise you will not get in....
