Everything good beside the accident with the other guests which set up the clock alarm for 11 pm for some reason and half hour later there were still sleeping and alarm still going.

Unique location and great view

What an amazing place to stay at and more importantly wake up to such a view! Our group arrived after attending an obstacle run so we were pretty tired and had to hike up to the chalet (since we missed the last lift). It was still such an amazing adventure. We managed to get soup for dinner and wake up the next day to this most amazing view of Tatry! From the chalet you can do a quick 20 minute hike to the top of the mountain or take the lift down to explore the rest of Strbske pleso!

Wonderful location, convenient to reach there, as well to start your mountain tour in Solisko area. Personnel was very polite and food was tasty. Room was clean and well equipped, with amazing view to the valley.

The property was modern and stylish. The room I stayed in was clean and provided with a kettle to make tea or coffee. There were toiletries in the bathroom and clean towels provided. The staff were awesome - Janko, Myshko and Jeshko were always helpful and very kind. The food at the restaurant was great, always served in big portions. The place is a great chance to immerse one self in the atmosphere of wild and untouched nature of the Vysoke Tatry. I highly recommend Horská Chata pod Soliskom to solo travelers as there are great chances to meet like-minded friends. For couples it would be a great experience too as the place is cozy and feels like home.

It's a shelter house and the staff gets up around 6 am to prepare for a day. In summer that's the normal hour to get up in the mountains, but in winter may be a bit of a surprise. The room is located just next to kitchen and dining room, which means that you are woken up by the sounds of maintenence. Take the ear plugs or get ready go get up early :-)

Perfect location! This is truly a special place. You wale up above the clouds - there is only one room so you can feel special :-) Great food, very friendly staff, comfy bed.

Having a night on the mountain was always my dream. This Chata is easy to get to and the personel is kind and professional . The ambience is quiet and relaxing. After hiking you can get everithing you need to rest. Good food, even a shower in a room, nice interior. If you need to stay inside then there are lot of games even a guitar to play.

one does feel really stupid, seeing that the other visitors sleeping next door in the common door don't have any option to shower..

it's expensive but really cozy and lovely, especially given that you're the only private room that comes with a shower.

The minus is obviously that you don't have your bed for yourself all the time, you get it around 9-10 pm, when restaurant finished working and you have to get up around 5-6 am. before restaurant starts working. But this is just this type of the accomodation, so it's understandable. The minus is also that in the bathroom is only one big sink and toilets. So - no shower, even after long hike. You can try to wash yourself in the sink, after 9 pm there are no more guests in the restaurant anyway ;)

Wow, this place is special. How does it sound to sleep on the table in restaurant. Crazy? Well, it was actually the most comfortable bed on all my holidays ;) Yes, this type of acommodation is super unusal and that is why we wanted to try it and we stayed 2 nights here. The location is amazing, you are basically on the belly of the mountain Solisko. Perfect place to start your hike to Solisko loop, or to the peak of Solisko Predne, you can also start walking from here to Krywan, or even walk to Popradske Pleso. There are some cable cars going to this place, but I am not sure if there are working and when, because we normally used to leave very early and come back late, so they were not working yet/anymore. Restaurant has really cool vibe - typical, old style mountain Tatra vibe, with traditional, a little bit funny music playing in the radio non stop. The staff is uper friendly, they are helpful, positive, and they are cooking DELICIOUS food. If you stay for the night, you have 20% discount on all meals and beverages. Menu is quite various - but mostly only traditional Slovakian meals. Good beer and yummy cake! Around 9-10 pm. (depending what day is it and is there are still guests in the restaurant), the staff gives you matteraces and bedsheets and put them on the tables. We were the only 2 people sleeping there, so we had two tables in the corner. The matteraces were SUPER comfortable, and we slept like babies! And from our windows - stunning view of Krywan. Perfect.
