How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Excellent service, the food was delicious, and the room was comfortable. The staff were attentive, and our dogs were happy. We will definitely stay again! I would be happy to recommend this place to my friends and family.

The host takes great care in maintaining the property. The cabins were cute. The restaurant has a variety of options and provided a great breakfast.

The stairs to the upper room was very narrow so it was not comfortable to get to the toilet at night.

Amazing staff, beautiful accommodation, fantastic food. If you travel solo, as a family, couple or a group of friends this place meets you all. Beautiful traditional Slovakian place. Highly recommend.

Nothing was bothering us, the shower pressure could be better but it was not a big inconvenience.
Very welcoming host, cosy atmosphere, very clean and spacious room, suprised by additional amenities like toiletries and TV a great stay.

The Tee cups in the room were used and not washed like you can see the dirt inside and feel the moisture! And there is no dim light for reading. Only those 2 and pretty sure if I called and asked about the cups then they would have been replaced!
The Theme is awesome and it's really comfy. And nice View. The complementary cake in the room was a nice addition also the Tee collection as my partner was a bit sick. And even 2 blankets for sitting in the snow was prepared

Very friendly staff. Good breakfast and coffee. We ate dinner at the restaurant every night we were there. Within walking distance of the city center and an indoor aquapark.

Everything was wonderful. My 10 year old son did not understand how this place could be a two-star penzion. The rooms were a tiny house resembling the wooden houses of the area. It came with 1.5 bathrooms, a kitchen, living room and two bedrooms all in their own building. The restaurant served traditional Slovak cuisine which was exceptional. The wait-staff were professional and courteous, and fortunately for me, they spoke English. The complimentary breakfast was better than most I have had at three star hotels in the US. I look forward to returning again in the future.

A wonderful guesthouse with lots of private parking, comfortable rooms and a very good restaurant. We had lunch there which was very good and the included breakfast was good. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The upper floor of the room was very hot. We had to move mattress as it was too hot for children to sleep up there. It’s probably lovely and cozy in winter.

No AC in the room might be too hot during hot season. Some of the beds were squeelching.
Charismatic place of an old country house. Restaurant on the first floor of the main building. Free parking. Life sheeps in the yard made children's day. Great friendly stuff.

A beautiful place in the mountains. The room was very very spacious and comfortable. It was very clean and had everything we needed. We stopped there because our kids wanted to visit the Orava Castel and so we changed our plans and spent a day in Slovakia. If we knew how beautiful this place was, we would have spent more days there. Hopefully we will come back again some day!
