Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

RomaniaWe did not know that the bathroom is separate from the room we were staying in. It was a private bathroom but separate on the floor. Very clean and good looking, but still separate.
We liked the design and the fact that everything was very clean.

United StatesThere were some rumbuctious German-speaking tourists staying in the other apartments and they were very loud very late. We'd appreciated if there had been a curfew and/or quiet hours posted as a policy at the apartments--but there hadn't been. This is something to consider because the accoustics is really powerful in the building.
We really enjoyed our stay in Bratislava. The apartment was easy to access, the location is fine. It is not really very close to the old town, but there are decent public transportation options nearby. The apartment was beautifully and thoughtfully furnished and equipped. We appreciated being on the ground floor (with our suitcases and one senoir traveler). The bed and the pillows were very comfortable. The kitchenette was very pleasant.

United KingdomNot sure how to mention this... this a tough comment to write as the accommodation was superb apart from this issue... We had a rather major issue of that we had some items taken from one of the rooms. The police have have / are involved in resolving this, due to this I am not going to put too much about the finer details. What I do want to add into this is that I am only commenting this so that others maybe more carefull and keep their belongings locked away or out of easy reach from any willing opportunists. Also, I do want to add that the owners have been superb on the handling of this and responded to my messages immediately and have been really helpful on working with the police to resolve this also.
The rooms were funky and well decorated. Beds were comfortable and had good facilities. Also the cafe is super and serves good food at good prices.

United KingdomThe host sent a very rude message when we left a couple of their toys out in the garden - we forgot to put them away, which was our fault but the aggressive tone in the message was not appreciated. I also found the bedroom setup with beds above the main bed quite dangerous as the ladder to go up has no railings. It’s an accident waiting to happen. The bathroom location down the corridor from the bedroom made it inconvenient to use.
Clean room and brightly decorated. Lovely garden with toys

RomaniaThe bathroom, although private, was located in the common hallway, which was not desirable, especially since I traveled with an elderly person for whom this aspect was an inconvenience. The bathroom was impeccably clean, as was the room. Another disappointing aspect was the fact that, although I had made a reservation for 3 people, there were no bedding (sheets, duvet, pillow) except for 2 people. The parking lot was unpaved, with gravel, which made it difficult to move the trolleys along the parking lot, especially since we had a place located far from the parking lot entrance. In addition, the parking lot is equipped with a barrier, which is only operated by the staff of the cafe-bar in the adjacent building, which created discomfort especially because it was a question of carrying 2 rows of luggage, and the barrier was left - obviously you can't always run between the parking lot and the cafe-bar to ask them to raise and lower the barrier several times. So we went under the barrier, which was not comfortable.
The property was clean, the room was equipped with things you need. The host was prompt and gave us clear instructions, which made it easy for us to quickly access the property. The property also benefited from a small interior garden, which was welcome. The parking space is for a fee, I paid 17 euros for one night.

North MacedoniaThere was just one bathroom (toilet, shower and sink) in a apartment with 8 beds, where 8 us were staying.
Good location, readiness of accommodation (hosts) for receiving and meeting the guests needs (they can provide you parking, meals, and similar) that really makes the stay more comfortable. The room and joint space (kitchen, yard, etc) are clean and offer sufficient amenities for comfortable stay.

United KingdomWe booked the ground floor apartment and there is a few flaws with the design of the apartment. Honestly, if you look at the pictures after reading this review you would probably notice it yourself. First off the room really is not big enough for 4 people, which they probably know given the dining table is only for 2 (though it is so small it really is only fit for 1). The bathroom is the weirdest bathroom we have seen, there is only a singular glass panel (that doesn't even reach the floor) for the shower that does not come close to stopping the water from getting everywhere and leaking into the bedroom, you will have to use multiple towels as a barrier to soak up the leaking water. There is also a weirdly high step you have to make to get into the bathroom, which was not great for one of us who has a bad leg. The toilet itself is also lower than you think, minor thing but if you have a bad leg it is noticeable. The sink is placed weirdly so that a protruding part of the kitchen top would get in your way if you want to clean anything. We were there for only 1 night so it was acceptable, but we really do not recommend the ground floor apartment for multiple nights and if more than 2 people.
Easy self check-in, responsive host. Very close to the train station and a tram that goes straight to the centre.

SloveniaThe sleeping are got quite hot during the night - the rest of the room was cool because we kept the window opened a bit, so it’s probably an airflow issue, since the bed is very close to the ceiling. There is an AC unit in the room, we should have probably used it, even though we were there in the spring. At about 3 in the morning a group of women came to the hotel and kept making A LOT of noise until about 5am. Not sure if that happens often (owner instructions said no noise after 22:00). The rooms are named after types of alcohol, so maybe we shouldn’t have been surprised :)
Unique decoration style. The room was small, but you have everything you need: a bed, bathroom, couch, even a tv and a small fridge. Not sure if all the rooms have that, we stayed in the “beer themed” room. There is a small kitchen, a washer and a dryer in the building that can be used by the guests. They have a cat that is very friendly and likes spending time in guests’ rooms. Self chech-in was very smooth, we didn’t talk to the owners at all. We also had burgers at the nearby street food place that is owned by the same people as the hotel, it was very good.

FranceEverything was perfect, except that the sound insulation is terrible. You can hear everybody through the door of the apartment. There was even a cat meowing all night outside of my room (not a joke) - it was cute, but bizarre. Whose cat was it, I wonder... A pity for such well thought out interiors and well done renovations.

Czech RepublicUnfortunately there has been a lot of noice. Also sheets were not cleaned properly, and were dirty. There is also beautiful kitty, which is nice, but also makes a lot of meowing during the night time and I had hard time sleeping. She is also very contactive, which often surprised us as she quickly ran in our room repeatedly. Sometimes we did not see her and nearly closed the door with her. Towel for hands would be nice.
Nice looking apartment, great location, good price. Good enough bed. Overall still would choose this.
