Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesIt would have been nice to be forwarded about jewelry thieves in the area. Also the mattress were too firm for our liking.
It was pretty. Different place to be like by the beach, at the pool or at the salon just sitting and having a drink.

United StatesThe only critique I have is that there was not a mini-fridge or a hot water kettle for tea in the rooms, but that is definitely not a dealbreaker. A friend brought some fruit and they stored it for her in their kitchen refrigerator. There is Wifi, but it is not always the strongest, especially in the bungalows near the seaside pool, so have your data ready if you need it.
The bungalows are quiet and lovely, with good aircon, comfortable beds, mosquito nets, and strong, hot showers. There are two pools, one near the restaurant that is quite charming, and one with a sea view that is stunning--we spent the day luxuriating there. The breakfast is light, with pastries and fruit, and the dinner has a nice selection of entrees (both meals included in the price). I absolutely loved our stay here and would most definitely come again. It will definitely be on the list for visitors, as it is quite comfortable.

United StatesRooms need a little more attention. A/C was not very cooling. Breakfast was really meager. Basically just fruit and bread. Coffee was sparse or not hot.
Staff were kind, courteous and helpful. Pool views and beach views were lovely. Dinner has nice choices and was played and served consistently.

SenegalIf the renovations continue, small refrigerators in the rooms would be an excellent addition, and at least one big water cooler/dispenser to cut down on plastic bottle waste. An odd detail that isn’t a big deal but of note in an otherwise perfect stay: our room was being stripped and cleaned before we had checked out, so bathroom and aircon was not accessible (if needed) for the last hour or so. Probably a one-off though.
I traveled with friend and my mother who had recently undergone knee surgery. The pool pictured was EXCELLENT for her, as it had a gripped, sloped entry rather than stairs and a shallow end that allowed for physical therapy. This would also be amazing for families with small-ish children as they could play and jump in the shallow end safely. The two properties have been renovated beautifully and offer a range of views and lounging locations.

CanadaThe only problem, the air conditioning in the room was not sufficient to provide coolness...maybe because of the high ceiling...it was very warm while we were sleeping.
The location is perfect, the hotel is just the right size to feel welcomed, the owner has madel renovations with a lot of taste. Food is pretty good.

FrancePerhaps better communication. If we knew beforehand we could park our car in the private car park we wouldn’t have carried our bags in the hot sun so far . It wasn’t that far to go but the parking which is excellent is even closer to our room!
A beautiful view and nice swimming pool. Our room was very clean and comfortable. -secure parking - nice restaurant great for a relaxing time.

United KingdomThere is a fundamental problem at this hotel. If you scan the reviews you will see that various people have made reference to the lack of any form of spoken English, the very poor breakfast and the tired state of some of the rooms - particularly the villa. The owner thinks that all he has to do is respond that he intends changing things but then he does nothing about them and other people then end up making the same complaints. Our experience is precisely this - there is no commitment to customer enjoyment. All they care about is making sure that you pay for things. There are no apologies when they make mistakes as they did with us (incorrect communication about the cost of the New Year's Eve meal and whether a deposit had been taken by booking.com). Instead, they try and turn the complaints back on the customer - we were shown to a room for three people when our booking clearly stated that we had booked for four people. That was their mistake not ours and not only did they not apologise but they kept us waiting till 5pm before we could get into the correct room. Which was not even properly cleaned. The problems are nothing to do with the fact that no-one speaks a word of English (this is common. in Senegal but we had no problems elsewhere where the attitude was welcoming and sought to provide a good customer experience) and all to do with the attitude which is purely to extract as much money as possible from people - for example by trying to charge Euro 1 for milk in tea and charging for water at dinner when a guest has already spent over Euro 800. We repeat our assertion that, while there are some positives here - the two swimming pools, the charming rooms on the original site, the quality of the dinner - there are too many negatives to be able to recommend this place. Hence, you may prefer to go elsewhere and leave this place to people who aren't familiar with what the competition offers.
Good dinner (but additional cost for water) Charming rooms on main site Two swimming pools Excellent New Year's Eve dinner (but compulsory) Pleasant beach (but average for the West African coast)

GermanyWe stayed for a week in the villa of Casa Coco II for a week beginning 2024. The Hotel’s pick up from the airport was late, we were waiting outside for the driver with many helpful people who tried to call the hotel. The travel to the villa took around an hour. The villa was rather a disappointment regarding decoration and atmosphere in general. It comprises in 3 bedrooms with working air condition , a sitting area plus a kitchen. The beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are nice and functional. Don’t expect any warm/hot water. After 3 days we asked for some new towels, which came same day. The sitting area it’s basic, with 2 sofas, a coffee table (no desk as described in the offer), and a TV, without any effort put in decoration and giving good vibes, only functional. The air condition in the sitting area doesn’t work. The kitchen it’s just a waste of space, with some tired and totally empty cupboards. Not even a small tiny fridge/ minibar or a cup or glass to be found. Only a giant and equally useless stove, a broken washing machine and a baby cot. During our stay we’ve been asked to give up one of the sofas to other guests who needed an extra sleeping place. We refused to accept such a weird request as we needed that basic furniture for ourselves. Where should we sit in the evening? The outside space around villa is mainly concrete with young plants, some nice palms, and some plastic fake grass. In front of the villa we had a long wooden table with matching uncomfortable benches and a small, decrepit and dirty little sofa we were too disgusted to use. At any point we found some wooden chairs on the terrace for a rest in the shade. The swimming pool is nice, a good size and with gradual deepness and well maintained. We enjoyed the pool very much. The beach straight after the pool was very dirty the first few days. Full of plastic only. They cleaned it and it turned out as a beautiful beach.
